There was no evidence that a single person changed their vote because of it.
And those with political agendas have made what they wanted of it. I guess thats the way the cookie crumbles. But lets not pretend Ted's critics are being entirely honest.
It was a big leap between what CNN reported and the FACT that Carson was suspending. Team Cruz reported to every single caucus location the FACT that Carson was suspending. It was a wholesale lie.
The Cruz campaign MADE UP the statement that Carson was going to make a “big announcement” the following week.
That was the Big Lie. CNN said NOTHING about a “big announcement”. The Carson people said NOTHING about a “big announcement”.
The Cruz campaign reported CNN’s speculation as fact. They could easily have confirmed their rumor with the Carson campaign before spreading it, but they didn’t.
Whether or not anyone changed their vote because of this is irrelevant.
You can spin it however you like, but a lie is a lie.
That one bothered me, but not that much, as it was obvious the Doc wasn’t gonna be in it much longer. The one that really pissed me off was the letter to voters That was really sleazy!
