Sanders extends win streak with Wyoming victory

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is projected to win the Wyoming caucuses, giving him eight wins in the last nine contests.

The state awards just 14 delegates on a proportional basis, but the win is another jolt of momentum for Sanders heading into the critical New York primary April 19.

Both campaigns paid little attention to Wyoming. Sanders held a rally there Tuesday. Rival Hillary Clinton did not go to the state, but her husband Bill Clinton did.

Entering Saturday, Clinton led the race with 1,280 pledged delegates to Sanders’s 1,030, according to the Associated Press.

In addition, Clinton has 469 superdelegates and Sanders 31.

I think Hillary is more beatable, so I sort of wish she were doing better.
But I’m thrilled that Hillary is being humiliated by some minor league socialist from an inconsequential state like Vermont.
But I worry that the country really sees Socialism as an answer to the problems we have experienced under Obama.

I’m so conflicted!

Clinton has the super-delegates. She will still get the nomination.

Wyoming? 14 delegates? That would be every DemocRAT in the State.

If Hitlary screws Bernie with the super delegates maybe his supporters all stay home (or their dorm rooms) for the general election.

Sanders may be harder to beat than Clinton. We’ve got a major economic down turn that’s going to hit before November and if we end up with a GOPe wall street candidate sanders may rip him apart for being part of the system destroying the economy.

Having open socialists winning a lot of votes is always a bad thing.

Yep, I tell all my friends that Hillary is lucky that some young, decent looking Latino etc who can talk a good game isn't running against her. It would be 2008 all over again. The power brokers with the democrat money resigned themselves to a Hillary nominee though. Win or lose, this is her last chance. The super delegates will save her, in he end.

Most likely. There is also speculation that some would vote against her in the general.

The youth base for Bernie is really pumped, plus they don’t want the Wicked Witch of the West ruling over them. But they trust Grandpa Bernie. Like we all trust and revere our Grandpas, those of us lucky enuf to have had a wise and loving grandfather.

Did Hillary win the one Wyoming super delegate who carries all the weight?

This is all for show.

Love to see Hillary getting creamed to make her look weak in the general but she has the nomination with the SuperDelegates no matter what the primary results.

Berny keeps winning and Hillary keeps extending her lead.

What a country!

Bernie’s nomination would send the stock market into a steep fall that would devastate voters’ 401k’s and IRA’s. His base doesn’t save for retirement; they expect he will take care of them. But people saving for their own retirement will vote against him in large numbers. They won’t be happy watching their financial security go down the drain, and even less happy with Bernie’s “solutions” to their retirement needs. Just my opinion.

It’s a little disgusting there are 14 Democrats in Wyoming to start with. I suspect they’re all university employees.

But the headline says Sanders extends win streak but the story says he is expected to win. Let’s be clear though. Hillary has now lost (——) consecutive states. This ought to be the meme.

It will be a good thing if Sanders wins every race extant while Hillary gets the endorsement. Then, if Trump doesn’t get the GOP nod, all the Trump supporters can vote for Hillary, a candidate no one wanted around.

Once again, something funny is happening to our favorite harpy on the way to her "coronation".

Last time around, it was a community organizer from Chicago. This time, it's a rumpled socialist from Vermont.

With regard to the super delegates, it is premature to be counting them in Shrillary's column. Not so fast. If you remember 2008, she had the "lead" in super delegates most of that campaign as well. It wasn't until late May and early June that they started defecting over to Obama.

It appears that her meltdown might come even sooner this time around. She has now lost 7 straight contests, some of those by humiliating margins. In 2008, she was still scoring major victories into April and May in places like PA, WV and TN.

If Bernie beats her in NY next week, expect those much ballyhooed "super delegates" to start getting cold feet.
