WASHINGTON (AP) — clip

Ted Cruz's big delegate victory in Colorado increases the chances of a contested Republican convention this summer.

Trump would need to win nearly 60 percent of all the remaining delegates to clinch the nomination before the convention. So far, he's winning 46 percent.

Following Cruz's sweep of Colorado's remaining delegates on Saturday, the Associated Press count stands at Trump 743, Cruz 545, and John Kasich 143. Marco Rubio, who suspended his campaign, has 171 delegates.

“-then Cruz can win. Let’s hope. “

If Cruz wins while stepping on everyone else, then that’s all he gets. The primary win.

He won’t win the general.

I cannot believe all the sour grapes trumpers on this thread vowing not to vote for Cruz if Cruz secures the nomination.

Apparently, they now hate Cruz more than Hillary.

Also, do not care if the Supreme Court is under liberal rule for God knows how many years.

Good luck winning the general without Trump supporters.

Good luck winning the general without Cruz supporters, i.e., social conservatives.

I know we do.

Why don’t you consider doing one once a week.

We Cruzers just don’t have the energy the Trumpers do.

Heights, you are correct. Libby here is just another hypocritical Cruz supporter. What is happening with these 3rd World delegate shenanigans is simply part and parcel as to why so many are supporting Trump in the first place - GOPe BS (failed party, failed system). In fact, it is also why so many initially supported Slick Teddy. That is, he pretended to be an “outsider”. Sadly, Cruz is a blatant fraud. And, I think we all know the sheep coping with their conflicted collective conscience by chanting the completely asinine rebut of “uh, duhhh, thems the rules, yep, durrr, thems the rules, I am rubber and you are glue...” would be screaming bloody murder if this were all the other way around with Trump and his team pickpocketing and buying off loser self-absorbed delegates. I guess it helps these GOPe, Hillary enablers sleep at night.

You know, the Cruz bots don’t care if Cruz doesn’t win, they just want to make sure Trump doesn’t win... so in essence Cruzers will take Hillary over Trump.

You say this, FReeper austinaero, yet in post 27, you say:

Never will vote for the republican Obama aka Cruz. Won’t happen.

So in essence, to use your own words, you will take Hillary over Cruz.

I have no choice but to vote Trump if he secures the nomination against that fascist wench. Added to the fact Cruz would not run as an Independent. That’s just the way life is.

It takes all of about thirty seconds to vote.

Every night I put the thread up, and someone votes in the first fifteen to thirty seconds.

I’ve had them get in as fast as 11 seconds, I believe.

Your point is what?

That it’s ok for your Cruz team to intentionally screw over the country and leave the rest of us deciding to join your hypocritical movement or vote Hillary.

yeh, that’s all you’ve got to offer.

Nice try.

So when Trump uses the laws like bankruptcy or eminent domain to win a business deal, he’s smart. When Cruz uses the laws to gain more delegates, it’s robbery? OK. If you say so

Matches the anti-Trump and Trump-hate crowd you belong to. Difference being Trump is NOT a part of the DC “Cartel” lyin’ Ted USED to say he was against. He doesn’t say that anymore and it’s cool with you. Lobbyist money,,,,? cool with you. Establishment funding?...Cool with you.

Cruz supporters who pretend they want something new in DC are just hypocrites. The ONLY candidate who offers something NEW is Trump. You can’t deny that.

Why? Did you think this was a popularity contest? If anything, it is a testament to Cruz and is organization. Trump is simply being out hustled by a very very smart opponent. Like football or boxing, you don’t win the first few rounds and claim a win or like in football, you don’t get the game handed to you because you are leading after 3 qtrs. The name of the game is accumulating delegates. It’s been that way for over 150 years. Trump comes along and he thinks he can be crowned because he has 40% support? LOL

What LAW is Cruz using?

You about summed it up for me.

I'm not laying down for another establishment presidential candidate. I'm just not going to do it.

I've resigned myself that things may have to get worse before they get better.

” it is a testament to Cruz and is organization.”

Funny thing. Cruz praised Obama for having the same skills.

I thought the name of the game was to beat Hillary not indulging a billionaire's sense of entitlement. If Cruz is the man who is up for it and 51% of delegates agree then so be it. If it is Trump so be it but it looks more and more that the man who penned the art of the deal cannot make the deal with the majority of republicans. Time to get out of the way.

BTW My prediction for NY: Trump 45, Cruz 40, Kasich 15 with Trump winning 50 % of the districts.

These are “unbound” delegates and can change their minds are the convention. They technically won’t count
