Ted Cruz's big delegate victory in Colorado increases the chances of a contested Republican convention this summer.

Trump would need to win nearly 60 percent of all the remaining delegates to clinch the nomination before the convention. So far, he's winning 46 percent.
Following Cruz's sweep of Colorado's remaining delegates on Saturday, the Associated Press count stands at Trump 743, Cruz 545, and John Kasich 143. Marco Rubio, who suspended his campaign, has 171 delegates.

Yes and Obama won!
“Trump comes along and he thinks he can be crowned because he has 40% support? “
Cruz has LESS support in case you haven’t noticed. Cruz absolutely NEEDS secrecy in order to STEAL the nomination.
He won’t be able to play those Obama games in the general. Not that his supporters care. They don’t give a DAMN about America.
It’s all about Cruz now.
Trumps March to 1237 never included Colorado, Indiana and getting 75 delegates in California. Cruz is skipping the east coast to go around getting crumbs while missing out on 250 delegates in the next 3 weeks which puts trump at 1100 delegates without the pacific, New Mexico. I am sure he can find 123 delegates from Kasick or Rubio. Cruz is cooked!
He wont be able to play those Obama games in the general. Not that his supporters care. They dont give a DAMN about America.
cRuz supporters are much like the 0bama supporters/zombies of 2008. They don’t care what rules or tactics are used to subvert the will of the people....as long as their messiah is the leader.
cReepy.
“This last week puts the lie to your assertion.”
Where was the world-class ground game in the South? (and I do include the sub-50% showing in his home state). The ground game is a 200+ delegate failure. It is dead.
With a little help from Jeb, Mitt, the Wisconsin gang and the GOPe “conservative” media, Cruz can only hope for a temporary revival. He’s dead Jim.
So we would have a nominee who was not chosen by voters? Sounds like a disaster for the general. He’s only gotten 6 million votes. He needs 63 million. Yieks! At least if he won primaries then he’d have voters who voted for him once already.
And a little special help from Trump.
Cruz won’t make it to the Presidency. Women hardly like him better than Trump and Hillary will run against him using the McCaskill versus Akin playbook.
“I think Cruz will be an extremely appreciated president”

“then Cruz can win. Let’s hope.”

Cruz tells well where voters don’t vote and even then he tries to negate their vote.
So, you Cruz voters are going to have your smug smiles removed and watch Cruz lose big.
That gap will increase greatly over the next two weeks as State after State vote Trump.
so says Politico
As the top cable news networks have pointed out, multiple times, all candidates had an open invitation to call/interview on any show segment. Cruz really had no response as to why he didn’t take advantage of that when confronted by the networks themselves.
There have only been two stories about Trump laying off staff: Politico and NewsMax, with NewsMax parroting Politico. Trump has staffers from one state who are actively working other states now. After the primaries, there is adequate time to restaff for the general - nobody’s left the field, it’s just halftime for some. How much did it cost the Cruz campaign to ‘open’ 10 offices in South Florida that were staffed for a day or three? I suppose we can equally say Cruz laid off staff, too.
I won’t say anyone stole anything. I will say the same Politico article stated that in Denver, “Trump seemed to have as many or more supporters show up as Cruz” while Josh Perry, “a GOP operative” in Denver, was quoted: “There’s not a lot of Trump support to begin with..” . Now, either some body is completely wrong (i.e, Politico, in which case everything they said in the article is wrong) or some thing is completely wrong. It’s up to us at citizens to figure out which one is which. #TheChalkening
Its now 743 Trump delegates and 859 Not Trump delegates.
You really mean he was not prepared to bribe and threaten the delegates in order to keep what he rightfully won?
Things change when people wake up. Have you took the oath to support Trump if he wins, or are you following after Levin? I have joined the never Cruz club that you try so hard to keep stirred up. Keep it going.
If Trump drops out he may win but I doubt it.
