The way I figure it is that if the documents weren’t damning Cruz would’ve released them as quickly as he released his mother’s birth certificate. We actually haven’t seen a piece of paper that says that Cruz is a US citizen and the date it was issued. Why not?
NO. it is NOT “settled law” that he is eligible. In FACT numerous Supreme Court Decisions regarding Natural Born Citizen ALL show that he is NOT ELIGIBLE.
“The Canadian-born Cruz must prove that he did not falsely certify his eligibility for office.” Nope. Victor Williams must prove that he did falsely certify his eligibility for office. That’s how the law works.
The other cases brought by citizen voters have been thrown out on the standing issue. In this newest challenge, the petitioner has Competitor Candidate Standing, as he has filed as a write-in candidate for POTUS, thus overcoming the standing issue.
If he proves it in NJ, these other states will accept it as proof, won’t they...

Absolutely NOT, and Ted Cruz knows it.
A natural born citizen is one who is born in the country (jus soli), AND born to parents who are both US citizens (jus sanguinis).
As long as stuff like this is allowed to stay in the breaking news sidebar, my opinion of the future of this site is easily formed.
Well Cruz has sealed his records. For all intents and purposed he does not as far as anybody can determine an American birth certificate. He has a passport which he holds up as his citizenship proof. I would say its shaky at best.
I don’t know if he will be kept off the state ballots but I can assure you if Cruz is put on the GOP ticket top or bottom of the ticket the DNC will challenge him and they can and will keep him off the ballot unless he can prove his documents are in order.
This stuff all came up in 2008 and the only reason the DNC didn’t keep McStain off the ballot is because they were wanting to run an ineligible candidate of their own. They all finally shook hands and said eff it and let both run.
Other than submitting a claim and having it adjudicated.
I guess this is what Manafort meant when he said Cruz was about to experience (cough) "a rough patch."
Barry Soetoro/Barack Hussein Obama should be proof enough of the wisdom of the founders when they tried to prevent him from being President by requiring someone who could only be a US citizen and nothing else.

Citizenship by statute (Federal Law) is not Natural Born Citizenship.
As Cruz fans will say, he is working within the system and by the rules.
CITIZEN is NOT the same thing as NATURAL BORN CITIZEN in the Constitution. A DISTINCTION WAS MADE BY THE FRAMERS. A president and Vice President MUST BE a Natural Born Citizen which is BOTH PARENTS CITIZENS at the time of his birth AND Born in the USA.
