There is reason to suspect that Cruz’s mother became an official Canadian before her son was born - a neighbor claims to have known this. It had to do with benefits and can be verified if anyone would check.

But in addition, even Obama went to the troule to claim he was born in the US. Now it isn’t even an issue????

So, this issue is being settled state by state. Cruz is, without question, a natural born citizen. Those who bring these nuisance suits should be paying sanctions for their frivolous suits.

Legal authority, going back to the early years of the nation, make it clear that he is a “natural born” citizen. The only distinction the Constitution draws is between citizens and naturalized citizens. If one is not naturalized, one is natural born.

Cruz/s political blunders pile up ... one disaster after another. But there are similarities: Cruz is looking more and more like the late unlamented prez candidate, ex-Texas Gov Rick Perry---two stealth candidates trusting Texans hardly knew.

At first, Cruz (like Perry) looked good....prez material, even. Then candidate Cruz (like Perry) began admitting things that trusting Texans knew nothing about.

Gov Perry shocked his constituents when he admitted in a presidential debate that he was using trusting Texans tax dollars to give illegals in-state tuition...and that they were heartless b/c they did not like this use of tax dollars. (Perry also installed the country's first Sharia Court in Texas....active to this day).

Cruz heaped on the surprises:

BACKSTORY In Texas, Cruz/s Senate election fairy tale has become legendary......portraying himself to trusting Texans as a scrappy populist putting everything on the line to overcome a wealthy establishment opponent.

He was whining in the media, telling trusting Texans that he, and his faithful little wife (a $700,000 globalist lawyer employed by G/S), were forced to liquidate their entire family savings (of slightly more than $1 million) to fuel a come-from-behind win in the Republican primary.

NOW TRUSTING TEXANS LEARN Cruz did not liquidate family assets.....he got his hands on over a million dollars from his hefty margin accounts at G/S and Citibank......and did not disclose this on FEC reports (to keep it a secret from trusting Texans).

Cruz did not disclose loans on FEC reports (required by law) b/c Texans would have discovered he was not the aw-shucks rube he pretended to be. He continued the rube act in order to milk votes from trusting Texans.

At the same time, he also did not disclose he was a Canadian citizen......the Harvard-educated lawyer w/ two Ivy League degrees said he didn't know.

When the Dallas Morning News published Cruz/s Canadian birth certificate, Cruz put trusting Texans through the charade of renouncing his Canadian citizenship.....even though Canada did not recognize dual citizenship at the time of his birth.

According to Ted Cruz’s father, he and his wife applied for and received Canadian citizenship before his birth in Alberta. Thus his mother committed the act of obtaining naturalization of a foreign state, which meets the definition of a an "expatriating act."

AND (this is important), until 1977, Canada required those seeking Canadian citizenship to swear an oath renouncing their allegiance to their previous country. If Ted Cruz’s mother obtained Canadian citizenship before 1977, then she swore this oath before a Canadian government official.

The above sentence is what is fraudulent. If it is true, when was the naturalization done? I bet you that the answer is “never”, because he never needed to be naturalized. Cruz is clearly NOT a natural born citizen. Rubio was cleary NOT. A natural born citizen. Obama is clearly NOT. A natural born citizen.

Since the democrats got one by, all the establishment needs is for the other side of the “two party system” to sneak in someone not eligible and walla the establishment finally gets to kill one of the greatest protections the founders left us with....the natural born clause.

Doesnt any good minded republican wonder why two of the top three republican candidates were not natural born citizens?! And remember the establishment figured Trump would just go away. So really, in my mind, the GOPe was setting up to make sure a NON natural born citizen would be on the ballot.

When you are born a US citizen you don’t get citizenship papers. He has a birth certificate that he has already shown with his mother’s birth certificate. They prove he was eligible at birth to be a US citizen.

The requirement of “Jus Soli” citizenship was, and is, antithetical to any statutory conferring of citizenship on children born abroad of American parents. And Mr. Cruz knows that he fails the test yet he continues with his fraudulent campaign.

Our U.S. Constitution only grants Congress with the enumerated power of “Naturalization” in Article I, Section 8, Clause 4. The Constitution does not give Congress any legal-power (or miraculous-ability) to create a “natural born citizen.” Nor does the Constitution allow Congress to modify the Article II, Section 1 test of natural-born citizenship. Mr. Cruz knows very well that he became an America citizen only by a statutory naturalization process.

It is inconsequential that Mr. Cruz’s naturalization, in accord with the controlling statute, happened automatically due to his mother’s American citizenship. Ted Cruz ultimately has exactly the very same quality of naturalized citizenship as that obtained by those 650,000 other immigrant aliens who go through more complex naturalization processes each year.

Congress only excused Rafael Edward Cruz from the complex nature of the naturalization processes to which most alien immigrants are subject. Congress choose to automatically naturalize Ted Cruz, and thus through a fiction of the statutory law, treat Ted Cruz somewhat like he was a “natural born citizen,” but that statutory fiction does not actually make him “natural born.” Mr. Cruz’s Alberta-size, now Texas-size, wishing does not make it so.
