First off, Cruz campaign didn't create, direct, and produce this, a couple of homo fans did. If Cruz did it, it would not be begging for funding where a lot of the rest of the commercials this PAC made cut never receive a dime (thus didn't air).
Second off, where were you when Trump's convention manager said Cruz's campaign was using "Gastapo tactics"?

I was reading an article about how Germans construct pithy words by combining concepts. For example blitzkrieg, lighting war. This one was something like “face that you just want to smack”, and referred specifically to Cruz. Don’t have the article handy, sorry.

Hitler was killing people and making them flee for their lives. FDR and Churchill were denying them refuge for various reasons, some political (don’t rile the nativists or they won’t vote for you), some pragmatic (don’t rile the ayrabs or they’ll have another uprising). So he’d really have to compare Trump to FDR or Churchill, which would be a complement.
As for the rapefugees, they’re Muslims fleeing from Muslims simply because they got caught in the wrong end of a battle. When things quiet down, they can go back home. They are not legitimate refugees. To compare them to holocaust victims is completely nuts.
