I’ve always assumed it meant the city until context proves otherwise.

If it gives hundreds of thousands of dollars to Liberals, endorses Liberals, has recently held Liberal positions on nearly all key issues and and says Liberals would make great presidents, it is a LIBERAL.

If Hillary runs as a “conservative” in 2020 will you believe her?

Does Austin, TX, represent Texas values? The really funny thing about the hypocrite Cruz, is he made this slur, right after he slipped into New York City and took his ‘fun’ money from his ‘gay’ friends... And the world knows, that it was a Texas case, Cruz ignored, the Supremes used, to make same sex marriage a so called Constitutional right... How about them Texas values?

Depends on where you are from. Generally speaking, anything not NYC or LI is upstate. I grew up in NJ, 10 miles outside the city and to me, anything not in the actual city was upstate. So to us, Buffalo was just as upstate as Spring Valley (which is right over the border). New Yorkers sometimes see it somewhat different. Anything not the burbs would be considered upstate. So Westchester County residents would not consider themselves to live upstate, but somebody from NJ or even the city itself would.

How embarrassing for Cruz to win Colorado a liberal state that is the drug capital of the United States.

No surprise- home state advantage.

A trul delusional comment. Cruz is the least Liberal member of the Senate and by far the most Conservative candidate.

Trump is a lifelong Liberal scamming Conservatives the way he scammed “Trump University” students.

Yes, matches the reality I see here in eastern PA.

Cruz has very little to offer the middle and working class populations here.

Sad but that is the perception.

I don’t know but Texas is the only city with a transgendered lesbian mayor. I think Texas has very liberal areas like New York.

You poor thing. You believe Cruz? Well at least Texas knew enough to keep him below 50 percent.

Actually form a Northeastern point of view Trump is more conservative, on the issues that matter to folks up here.

1) On Industry: trump wants to preserve or conserve our industrial base, something Ted the lawyer does not seem to care about.

2) On Workers: Trump wants to reduce all the schemes that import cheap labor (H1B visas) which will help conserve folks ability to negotiate a decent price for their labor. Ted Cruz....not so much.

3) Guns: Trump has an offensive strategy, extend the equal protection clause to the 2nd amendment. here in the northeast that would undo a lot of state laws that have limited access to self loading rifles, magazines and pistols. Ted Cruz is very good with preserving the abstract principals of the 2nd amendment, but has no such offensive strategy.

4) Illegals: rightly or wrongly, here in the Northeast many folks think Trump is more serious about forcing all of them to leave and then come back on a schedule that is favorable to the US, not the needs of the illegals. That is conserve the country for its citizens. Cruz is not perceived as being as strong on this issue, most folks think he followed Trump’s lead on this issue, not the other way around. Not saying that is correct, but that is the perception.

5) Trump is seen as the patriotic candidate. Rightly or wrongly he is seen as the candidate who cares about the US first, Cruz is seen as more of a globalist, perhaps because of his foreign birth.

6) Trump is the only candidate who has made taking care of the vets who fought for the country one of his 6 primary planks. I just you could put this under # 5 but I thought it was worth mentioning as I have heard that said more than a few times in Vet and gun club circles.

7) Trump is seen as defending free speech, Cruz is seen as being part of the politically correct elitist circle. Be is the mix up of trump and Megan Kelley or the Chicago riot and Cruz’s putting his foot in his mouth on that, folks think when it comes to shutting down the leftist attempt to control folks’ inner and outer beliefs that Trump conserves free speech and assembly more than Cruz.

In any case it is not that folks here are some much liberal as Trump’s conservative planks match the issues that are important to folks in this part of the nation.

[Cruz collaspes in Pennsylvania]

I hope so. They acted like the Wisconsin win was unexpected and cheered that Ted only needed to take the remaining 95%. Guess we didn’t figure on how the GOP Establishment was rigging the game wherever they could.
