The data-driven Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% campaign is carefully targeting about a dozen Congressional Districts in New York State where it may have an opportunity to hold Donald Trumps vote total below the all-important, winner-take-all 50 percent margin in next Tuesdays GOP primary.
Cruz doesnt expect to come close to beating Trump overall in the Empire State, and may not even think he has a chance to keep the Manhattan billionaire below the 50 percent mark statewide.
But Cruz can further advance the narrative that the Trump campaign is losing steam if hes able to bring Trumps delegate total below the 75 of 95 available Breitbart currently anticipates he will earn in the state.
All 14 delegates elected statewide will be allocated to the winner, provided he exceeds 50 percent of the vote. The remaining 81 delegates will be allocated on the same basis, with 3 delegates selected from each of the states 27 Congressional Districts.
Once the winner, statewide or in a Congressional District, drops below 50 percent, delegates are allocated proportionally.

Looking forward to your riding the lightning.
Surely Kasich and Trump had some support and got some votes. They are not mentioned in that article. Why not?
Amazing all the smart people here that dont get it. The big picture problem is not rocket science to anyone who is not stuck staring at one tree so long they get so cross-eyed they think the fuzzy thing they see is the whole forest.
What happened In Colorado is indefensible on any coherent, rational, ethical, or moral ground. Everyone know this. THAT is the big picture, that is the forest - and exactly why Trump is so much more popular than any other candidate. THAT is why there is a movement like we have never before seen in American politics. Trump is blowing up the status-quo Americans have HATED for so long. And Colorado gave him more ammunition in that fight for freedom from establishment elitists cramming what they want down our throats.
I can’t imagine even one vote for Cruz in NYS.
Heidi is wasting her time in LI. No way Trump doesn’t get over 50% in both LI districts. Same with Queens. Trump will get at least 85 delegates, perhaps as many as 90.
He’ll get the percentage of New Yorkers that are actually conservative.
Did Trump’s children register to vote for their father? ooops
“Branch tRumpdians”
I suppose you are suggesting that Trump supporters are similar to Branch Davidians.
The Branch Davidians (also known as “The Branch”) are a religious group that originated in 1955 from a schism in the Davidian Seventh-day Adventists (”Davidians”), a reform movement that began as an offshoot from the Seventh-day Adventist Church (”Adventists”) around 1930.
Heidi Cruz was raised as a Seventh Day Adventist. Ted and his pappy are Baptist “dominionists”.
What is Dominionism? The term Dominionism was popularized in the 1990s by scholars and journalists, who applied it to conservative Christians seeking political power. It derives from the Book of Genesis, in which God tells Adam and Eve to have dominion over the Earth and its animals. Dominionism generally describes the belief that Christians are biblically mandated to control all earthly institutions until the second coming of Jesus.
Experts identify two main schools of Dominionism: Christian Reconstructionists, who believe biblical law, including stoning as punishment for adultery and other transgressions, should replace secular law; and the New Apostolic Reformation, which advocates for Christians to reclaim the seven mountains of culture: government, religion, media, family, business, education, and arts and entertainment.
Psychological projection is a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against their own unpleasant impulses by denying their existence while attributing them to others.
You’re projecting.
Your comment clearly shows you didn’t read it and facts are irrelevant to you.
If the facts are so obvious why can’t anyone give me actual votes for Cruz, Kasich and Trump??
So it if you read the article and it’s so easy.
the article clearly mentioned trump (kasich is a non entity anywhere he goes). you said the article didn’t mention trump.
People in CO were freely allowed to vote for delegates, which includes trump supporters. I’m sure there were some there. Trump’s organization is so bad, his paperwork was rife with typos and his supporters were redirected to vote for others’ delegates.
who’s fault is that since trump doesn’t own any responsibility to his short comings?
why is that a joke; isn’t that what you want?
the point of the article is that the citizens were FREE to vote in the caucus. What part of that don’t you get? just because trump and many of his supporters are incompetent, how is that cruz’s fault?
“the point of the article is that the citizens were FREE to vote in the caucus.”
Ok then where are the vote counts for Cruz, Kasich, and Trump??
?
Well written, very interesting.
Looks like the strategy is for Cruz kaisich
To hold Donald to 75 delegates. In my.
Shows the breakdown of CDs we have talking about. Interesting
You keep posting this comment after people have already sent you the links to the votes, which tells me that you are not concerned with facts, just with repeating Trump talking points.
