Ignorant Outrage Over the Colorado GOP Caucus Vote
BernardGoldberg.com ^ | April 11, 2016 | John Daly

You see, contrary to the impression that many people have been left with over the past couple of days, Colorado’s traditional caucus-night poll had never been a binding, primary-like election. That’s not how it worked. It was a simple straw-poll — nothing more, nothing less. It wasn’t the process used to distribute delegates to the candidates.

The nomination procedure in this state has been driven by the election of representatives for over a hundred years (except for from 1992 to 2002). It starts with grassroots caucus attendees from local precincts voting on congressional-district delegates (their neighbors) to represent them, and ends at the state convention a few weeks later when the representatives finish selecting national delegates to back a candidate at the national convention.

Have a good night.

"Condemned us all to Hell, AGAIN"

I remember the good ole' days when it was a much better class of people condemning everyone who didn't agree with them to Hell.

Mr. Trump is a special person and needs special treatment. Rules do not apply to The Donald. He is ... Hope and Change.

Yep/ he knew the process in Colorado - yet he only had a skeleton crew on the ground and didn't bother showing up himself - polling was showing him loosing - and he wasn't about to show his face.

The response from Trump after Cruz's crushing win in Wisconsin was outrageous - whiny and sophomoric.

“Your third cousins would be the great-grandchildren of one of the siblings of one of your 8 great-grandparents.”

First, it wasn’t a silly argument, it was a question. Second, I had no idea the degree of separation. You could have left out the “limited intelligence”, I don’t believe many people would, on the surface, know this information.

But thanks for helping me understand !!!

Apparently it was a mirage, Rash. The old girl is posting up a storm today. Must have been a short reprieve, or I am seeing things. But her “opus” was on the side bar last night. I followed the thread, and saw “the man” say “Well, bye”, and now I can’t find a trace of any of it! LOL!!

If your question was indeed sincere, then I apologize for being abrupt, but I have seen a lot of posters asking the same question the same way, and it sounded a lot like a Trumpkin talking point. Mea culpa...

It will be quite an election between two special people.

What is wrong with me saying I don’t like it when the party picks candidates instead of the people?

It’s not a lack of uunderstandingz, or of history. It’s a distaste that it is still happening.

“If your question was indeed sincere”

Yes it was, but no apology necessary at all. I am a Trump supporter and looking back at it, I could have phrased the question better.

And really, thanks for setting me strait !!

I hope the two “special people” unite and pound the snot out of The Hildebeast. Otherwise America is over as we know it.

“...they can vote for anyone on the second ballot.”

So can Trump’s and I believe that Cruz is way better than Trump at controling his delegates and even getting a few of Trump’s.

Bernie Goldberg has revealed himself as another NE of: The GOP-e minions."

It is fascinating to see how TRUMP is exposing ALL of the GOPe, Anti-American rat, "one-world" globalist vermin for who and what they really are.

Bernie Goldberg; shilling for the GOPe and pawning himself off as "conservative". They have all become a national laughingstock.

It’s not going to work this time. There is only so much whining people can take. It’s getting really old.

Yep. I’ve been wearing out my mute button every time Trump, Stephen Miller or the new campaign guru Mand-something appears on TV. They all just keep whining and pushing the meme that Cruz is a cheater. ...Same mute is used whenever the news shows some of Trump’s pep rallies, because all he does is whine about everybody attacking him and then repeats everything he’s been saying for months... ad nauseum.

Kinda like having a Mime around. You can’t smack em’ in the head with a shovel to see if they’ll scream but you can’t help stopping to look at them and think about hitting them in the head wit h a shovel.

He’s polling in 3rd place now in NY, PA and MD. LOL.

No one ever expected the Conservative candidate to win in the Northeast and upper Atlantic States, so this is not news.

Crude criticism from a “party hack” is a high honor. From the thread that outed you, it appears that the CO hacks “got some splaining to do Lucy.”

With the breakdown in civility FR is slowly morphing into the HP.

The news is that it’s not second place not that it’s not first place. If he was second place it would look better for the upcoming general. Don’t care which of Trump/Cruz wins the general as long a we don’t get another Obamanation.

Good post. We have so little hope of changing this system bloodlessly that Trump sounds like one chance for us.
