After Loss in Colorado, Donald Trump Supporters Give State Chairman an Earful
New York Times ^ | 4/11/2016 | Alan Rappeport

[Colorado Republican Party Chairman Steve] House acknowledged that there are a lot of deeply entrenched players within the party who think the system works well and believe that those who are the most politically engaged should determine who becomes the party’s presidential nominee.

Like I say, it's not just corrupt people at the top. Corrupt rank-and-file Republicans who know how to game the system are what must be overcome in order to get a system in which the voting public's intent is taken into account. I do not expect internal reforms. It will require legislation or a ballot initiative—both of which are now in progress due to public outrage.

I’ve already told my elected representatives that if the GOPe continues on their path toward a contested convention I will not vote for any candidate with an R next to their name.

Next Tuesday can’t come soon enough to slap that Cruz smirk off his ugly mug. Let’s see how he does does when Patriotic American voters vote. I think it is appropriate that New York will be the state to make Cruz unable to make 1237.

As I posted in my duplicate thread:

I’m sure the average voter was paying attention a year ago when the GOPe decided to change the rules.

Arrogant elitism in action in USA elections.

There is only one party, The Establishment.

Well. I thought there were no Trump supporters in Colorado. I’ve been asking all day for the numbers of Kasich and Trump votes and no one knew. All the Cruz people act as if there was not one single vote for either Kasich or Trump.

There actually were Trump supporters in Colorado??

It’s a better system than letting Democrats “cross over” in open primaries. I think New York at least has the right idea in making people register for the party in the primary 8 or so months before the vote is held.

67% of the voters in South Carolina did not vote for Trump. Why did he get all 50 delegates? Why were they disenfranchised?

It’s appropriate because New York is a blue cesspool of liberal values where even the Republicans are huge RINOs like Peter King, Rudy Giuliani and one Donald J. Trump. Not to mention his kids who backed same-sex marriage, fund-raised for Corey Booker, are best friends with Chelsea Clinton and/or never bothered to register as Republicans.

There were no votes. Delegates were selected by the party elites.

Screw we the people.

To the extent we have primaries in Colorado (for other offices), they are closed. Open vs. closed has not been an issue here.

As long as Cruz is knocked out, I don’t care which state does it. Cruz is going after little delegate numbers while losing delegate rich states like Florida and New York.

If the “party bosses” are betting that average voters won’t show up at the caucuses, then isn’t the best way to beat them by...showing up?

Its all fake. Why even have primaries and caucuses where millions wait in line after taking the time to drive to a poll location. This whole thing is a joke. The republican party looks like a joke.
