The Board of Eagle Forum, a 501(c)(4) corporation, held a Board meeting in accordance with and pursuant to the Eagle Forum By-Laws and Illinois State Law at 2 pm CDT on April 11, 2016.
Pursuant to the By-Laws, Eagle Forum First Vice President, Eunie Smith, presided over the meeting. Eagle Forum Founder, Mrs. Phyllis Schlafly, the Chairman of the Board, was present during the entire meeting, including expressing herself on all seven votes. In Schlafly’s opening statement she said she has spent her life building Eagle Forum as a unique organization of volunteers. She also said that paid staff cannot order volunteers around. Mrs. Smith said, “The purpose of the meeting was to ensure that Eagle Forum will continue long into the future as a viable force for all the causes we have addressed in the past, for God, family and country.”
The Board of Eagle Forum voted to remove Mr. Ed Martin as President of the corporation; effective immediately. Mrs. Eunie Smith is serving as President until a new President is elected pursuant to the Eagle Forum By-Laws. Mrs. Smith appointed Eagle Forum Board Vice Chairman, Anne Schlafly Cori, daughter of Phyllis Schlafly, as Executive Director of Eagle Forum. Anne Schlafly Cori has worked with our state organizations and worked alongside Phyllis for some time.
Anne Schlafly Cori said, “I am honored and excited to be working with our wonderful state volunteer leaders from across the country. We are continuing the incredible legacy of our Founder Phyllis Schlafly.”
Dr. Shirley Curry was directed to lead a Search Committee for a new president of Eagle Forum.
I don;t think the battle is over yet, Phyllis says she intends to fight. But otherwise, yes, i agree. At this moment, Eagle Forum is just like so many TEA Party operations coopted by party hacks. It may have a decent message, but it is not a decent organization.
Perhaps you can explain why Phyllis Schafley requested the resignation of her daughter and five or six others today?
You folks are a riot. Even if the face of the founder of the Eagle Forum and her actions, you still try to run cover for the Ted Cruz faction.

I have just released the following statement to the press and our members:"At 2:00 pm today, 6 directors of Eagle Forum met in an improper, unprecedented telephone meeting. I objected to the meeting and at 2:11pm, I was muted from the call. The meeting was invalid under the Bylaws but the attendees purported to pass several motions to wrest control of the organization from me. They are attempting to seize access to our bank accounts, to terminate employees, and to install members of their own Gang of 6 to control the bank accounts and all of Eagle Forum.
"The members of their group are: Eunie Smith of Alabama, Anne Cori of Missouri, Cathie Adams of Texas, Rosina Kovar of Colorado, Shirley Curry of Tennessee, and Carolyn McLarty of Oklahoma.
"This kind of conduct will not stand and I will fight for Eagle Forum and I ask all men and women of good will to join me in this fight."
I’ve been close to enough organizations to know that these skirmishes come and go. This may be the first at the Eagle Forum, I don’t know. What I do know is that Phyllis Schafley requested the resignation of her daughter and five or six others today.
They were the ones who voted Martin out.
Was their friction with other chapters over the fact Schafley endorsed Trump. Was any defense of her met with open hostility and charges that Martin was doing things he shouldn’t have been?
I don’t think Schafley would ask for her daughter’s resignation if she wasn’t a staunch supporter of Martin.
Phyllis Schlafly signed my checks. I worked for her for 7 years. I know from what I speak and you do not.

Yeah, I know the Constitutional Convention (they shorten it to con con) is a big issue in Alabama with many (including myself) against it. I think Roy Moore (SC justice) found it unconstitutional.
Do you have access to the email that they claim Ed Martin sent. It would be an interesting read IMO...

Phyllis would never use a term such as “Gang of Six,” especially referring to her own daughter.

The people Phyllis asked to resign are Cruz supporters.
You seem to have an inside, and frankly it sounds as if you got it from the Cruz folks, and you’re providing cover for them and Cruz himself.

I don't believe a word of what you say. Produce evidence. 100% of what you post on FR, I presume to be a falsehood. That's just the way it is. I took the quote from a source that claims to be Phyllis Schlafley. I linked to the source (a Facebook page). I'm not saying Ed Martin isn't posting on Phyllis's Facebook page, but unless you produce some evidence to that effect, your claim is fiction.

Schlafly said the board meeting was called by only three members, and Eagle Forum lawyers are arguing that three members are not enough, according to the by-laws, to call a meeting of the board.
"This is a complete takeover attempt," she said.
"I think the leader of the coup is my daughter Anne Cori and her husband at Eagle Forum of Missouri," Schlafly said. "I think she and her husband want to take over the organization."
The only evidence I need to provide is the press release itself and my own testimony. All of the people involved are my friends and I know what I am talking about. Just because Ed Martin is a Trump fan does not make him a reliable source. What he did to Phyllis is deplorable.
The whole Cruz-Trump faction was merely a symptom to the problem of Ed lying to Phyllis.

I am convinced by Ted and his incessant fund raising letters to me, that he is a liar and a cheat. He bends the rules to the breaking point or selectively applies them, to subvert the will of the people, steal from the owners, or overthrow the legitimate leaders...
Then he obfuscates and shrugs at the cameras with that “i am victim of the rules too” at us and tells us he was following the rules... and any evil we see outright.... well that was donald trump.
A liar will steal and a thief will lie, and both of them will KILL if they get backed into a corner. I hope phyllis has some really good security minded people watching her back. YES they would kill her and then create a narrative against trump and for ted. They are that damned evil.
