Phyllis Schlafly says she’s being ousted from Eagle Forum for Trump endorsement

Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly says six state leaders are ousting her from the Eagle Forum organization she founded because of her support of Donald Trump, and five of them support Sen. Ted Cruz.

Schlafly released a statement Monday claiming the group is trying to take over the organization by controlling bank accounts, firing employees and hiring their own.

“I think it’s an attempt to vote me out,” Schlafly told the conservative World Net Daily. “It’s disloyal, and it’s terribly shocking, and I’m completely depressed about it.”

Among those Schlafly called out by name Monday was Cathie Adams, who served as Texas Eagle Forum president for the last 23 years.

Thanks for the summary. Trump is awfully slow for a conservative, but at least he is coming around on one of the most important issues of the campaign. That's a plus for him.

Even Cruz has modified some of his views--for which modifications both Trump and his Trumpsters TRY TO CRUCIFY CRUZ AS A HYPOCRITE. So, I won't say any more about Trump on this topic.

Neither. But I know that a lot of elderly folks have predispositions to anxiety. And I do pay attention to what Schlafly says.

Ted and his supporters have shown their true colors. Nothing will be allowed but Ted. Even Schlafley is subject to the purge. Rush was smart. He wanted to stay on the radio. Drudge, you’re up. F.R., you dregs on there better shape up! You’re on borrowed time. The Cruz folks can’t see any problems with any of this. I’ve seen some very naive political people in my day, but even a blind man could see this from deep space.

If Trump was the chump, the loser, and the guy that Hillary would stomp into the ground in the general election, the Democrat vote soldiers in the Wisconsin Big Cities would have crawled over poisoned broken glass to pull the lever for Trump, to get rid of Cruz and lock in a sure victory in the fall.

The Democrat Party OWNS Wisconsin. What we saw in the counties surrounding Milwaukee was YUGE numbers for Cruz - and a corresponding drop-off in Democrat primary votes.

Not only that - these same counties vote squish - Romney over Santorum, McCain over Huckabee.

Suddenly, they went all "social conservative" in 2016. LOL!

If you are too insensitive to see the connection between the radical,crazed cruzerbots,and where a huge percentage of them hail from originally and or now you have HUGE blinders.

Most people vote for the person,not their home state connection. State loyalty is one thing but it makes you look like you cannot judge a candidate other than they are from your home state.

How many conservatives who have endorsed Trump, or spoken favorably of Trump, are now too old, lost their way, never were conservative, are dupes or stupid, are secret Clinton lovers or any other epithet you can think of.

Instead of giving Schlafly the credit she has rightfully earned, you bash her. I dare say that Schlafly has done more for conservatism than most on this board. This is a character flaw many Cruz supporters have.
