Sen. Ted Cruz said on Tuesday that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie got trapped in his "own private hell" by endorsing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
In a Tuesday interview with Glenn Beck, the conservative commentator who has endorsed the senator for president, Cruz expressed sympathy for the governor, saying that he looked like he wanted to scream when he stood behind Trump at a rally in March.

No, I don’t support a ban on “assault weapons”, but Trump does, or did, or will, or whatever he feels plays the best for him at the time.
I don’t care a whit for the “birther” stuff. He’s American enough for me, certainly more American than the current Oval Office occupant. I just want to know where, and why, this truly-effective defender of the Constitution somehow adopted this sort of smarmy, cult-leader persona.
I suspect there is a Beck involved.
Trump is also further attaching the outsider label to himself. He also added that he and Sanders are the only ousiders. This is a smart move. Once Hillary steals the dem nomination Trump is hoping disenfranchised Bernie voters will vote for him in the general.
Actually, I caught a portion of the Alan Colms show and he was arguing with a Bernie supporter who will vote for Trump if Bernie loses.
