Whining? Whining will be the least of it.

It will split the party. Or have you not looked at numerous polls which have come out over the past few weeks asking Republican voters what they think of a contested convention?

Answer me this then. Who were the long term state party officers for before Cruz was the NeverTrump tool? How did they feel about Cruz before they became NeverTrump delegates. When you look at who is mostly the delegates from the caucuses you see Sate party officers, Big Party donors and party faithful, very few who were for Cruz from before the GOPe official NeverTrump campaign.

NeverTrump does not equal Cruz supporters. Thats called common sense.

Ted Cruz will never be the GOP nominee. The powers in that party are using him to stop Trump, a man they despise only a little less. Case scenario: Trump does not get 1237. Chaos ensues. Ted does his stuff feels confident. Party stab him in the back. Bring in Mitt and Ryan to Save the Day, even after Ryan has shouted from high on Capital Hill that he didn’t want the gig! (Typical tactic for a hack who really is salivating for it. See history). Thus mitt and Romney 2.0 designed to either get their spot in the sun or lose to the first woman etc., it doesn’t matter because the elites keep their fiefdoms as is without loss to power.

Well the Trump Campagin wasn’t planning to take any delegates from WI and came out with 6. Not bad for the GOPe seat of Reince, Ryan and Walker.

Cruz has a better chance of introducing himself to the great mass of voters who haven’t followed all this like FReepers do. Most people are ignorant, remember.

Trump has high unfavorables and is a household name. He isn’t gong to move voters to him.

Cruz can articulate conservative ideas and sell his story. He’s largely unknown.

Trump can do neither. If Cruz can win Ohio and Florida he has a chance.

Trump split the party the day he entered and people started taking him seriously.

Trump is leading a faction that is pissed at their own party and determined to crush them.

They have gotten their wish. They can enjoy the Democrat rule in peace.

Trump and Cruz delegates control the rules committee. They can put in place a rule that prevents other candidates from being nominated. It will be one of those two.

It’s not at all like you guys think it is.

I know you want that to happen. But I see no reason to believe that the electorate that voted for Obama twice is suddenly going to come aboard the Trump train.

The thing about it is: The way to correct the usual polling problems -- e.g,. high unfavorables, low awareness -- is by gaining more exposure.

Problem is Trump has had beaucoup exposure. Everybody already knows who he is, what he is and what he stands for. Now, how does he go about shrinking his high unfavorables?

Presumably, by acting differently -- less bellicose, less vulgar and boorish, fewer whines and complaints. But that creates a whole 'nother set of problems -- it's not him, he won't come off as "genuine".

How loud will the wails be if Trump “pivots” for the general election and start talking “compromise” on trade, border security, etc.?

He already is. And the Trumpists are either a.) ignoring it or b.) making excuses for him.

At bottom, the problem is he's topped out -- he's pretty mcuh gotten who he's gonna get. And that ain't gonna get him rom here to there.

I am not a True believer in Trump. I fully expect him to disappoint me in many ways. However if he builds a defendable wall on our southern border, deport or self deport millions, and starts the process of putting american interests before the interests of the big multinational banks I would be satisfied. I have been around long enough to know that all politicians dissapoint eventually. For me the only “red line” is abortion. I will not aid in the killing of the unborn in any way shape or form including giving my vote to a candidate who has not declared themselves pro life.

Rubio and the rest who have suspended their respective campaigns cannot free their delegates to vote until after the ballot codified by their own states and none of them can cast a ballot at all unless their candidate has won 8 states as per the existing rules

Cruz has zero chance of winning here in Florida and you, should accept that and find another path forward
He has zero support in the state and would lose here to anyone in the world

Not completely true. Under Iowa rules, we have to vote on first ballot for the people who got the votes. the chair will not record the votes of the non-eight state winners. In other words all the votes, except the Cruz/Trump votes, will essentially be thrown away on the first ballot.

Not true. Most of the delegates are grass root conservatives. In Iowa in District 1, Paul Pate, Secretary of State, wanted to be a delegate.

Didn’t happen. He was thrown off Cruz island. Three conservative activists won. One a state senator.

yeah right, Grass root LOL. And BTW, When the GOPe took over Cruz’s campaign was after Iowa. The issue is most of the new ones are NeverTrump not Pro Cruz, hes nothing more then the GOPe neverTrump tool to get it to a contested convention. They are for the most part party loyalists.

And you think Trump is pro-life? The guy who praises Planned Parenthood and all the good they do?

There’s a difference between being pissed at your party and being so blinded by rage that you nominate an unelectable charlatan and hand the government over to the left.
