The hangover is wearing off, and reality is coming into focus.
I hope these next 5-6 contests are enough to push most of the establishment over the line into acceptance. At some point they will have to acede to Trump’s win. I think soon you will see a change of heart. The GOP establishment wants the Whitehouse.
Ted Cruz was never going to be the nominee. If Trump was not in it Cruz would be running second or third to Bush, Rubio or Walker.
Paul Manaforte is right about all this manipulation of delegates at the state convention level. Its a losers game. That’s the kind of stuff you do when you are not really winning. Cruz knows this.
The thing I find the most fascinating about Ted Cruz is his almost willful self destructiveness. He is going to end up out of the running for anything at this rate. He has a scorched earth policy. If he had played it smart and ran like a gentleman he would be in contention for VP for sure. Now I doubt you could force Trump to take him on a bet. Especially as he would likely have to fight off a DNC challenge to Ted’s eligibility. And Cruz can probably kiss Scalia’s spot on the bench goodbye as well. He’s going to end up back in the Senate with nothing to show for all this expended energy and money and likely wear and tear on his marriage.
De real R. Cruz supporters be dis ill ooshined.
The Cruz campaign is beginning to resemble the movie “Weekend at Bernie’s”. GOPe and Media propping him up and dragging his carcass into the convention.
That’s sure how it’s playing out. Teddy sold his soul to the GOPe. Let’s see what he gets for it. Lots of face time with Lindsie Grammm?
Frankly, my guess is that when he’s shut out either by Trump or the GOPe, he’ll have a tough time even getting re-elected as a Texas Senator.
Ted to Beck, “Donald needs to understand hes not Michael Corleone. I understand that Donald has had some very shady business deals with people that are currently in prison-mobsters.”
Yeah, that just happened yesterday. What a tone deaf asshat.
Today Ted is calling together WALL STREET bigs for a fundraiser.
If these numbers are realistic, what happened in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin voters are not like those in the Northeast or the South.
Same here. I think he has willfully convinced himself that the GOPe establishment will side with him if Trump doesn’t reach the magic number (which is subject to last minute change anyway) and they will deliver him the nom.
I think they will deliver him his ass on a platter. I think Cruz will be utterly unelectable after this. Not only are the wheels coming off, the mask is too.
delegates given to him by the GOPe.
Bears repeating. The outsider being given delegates by the GOP
Should have said loaned to him by the GOPe. The GOPe will take them back if they Stop Trump on the first ballot. Cruz is not an outsider. He was VP of the NRSC and cut deals with McConnell that screwed conservatives and the people.
Upstate is for Trump. I will be in the booth next week also.
New York Money is the Root of all Values.
(To paraphrase a famous quotation) ;>)
Sure is. But only for those severely conservative Conservatives.
Is upstate strong enough for Trump that he could win NY if he stays close in the big city?
That's been his M.O. all along. But he can't claim that the majority of Republicans are voting against Trump if Donald breaks 50%.
Maybe there’s a shift change or something.
Yep...the Bushes are all in for Cruz. (except for Laura who is a Hillary shill) Tells me all I need to know!
In any other year two dunces with no chance woukd drop out and if they didn’t first question every day would be why?
Trump should win those states for the most part but they will go to the hidabeast in Nov, they almost always do and Trump will not change that but it might tighten a little bit more than usual
