If Cruz were not your guy and Trump were not running would you be satisfied with the GOPe? Many have been really disappointed in the GOPe since 2008.

Or do you think they have served the people well losing 2 elections to Obama and giving into his every wish?

Are you saying that you couldn’t go to the caucus?

The caucuses were nothing more then a straw poll, the results were meaningless. The gopE chose the delegates. That's why no one went to the caucuses this year. Anyone that tells you differently is a liar.

We did go to all previous caucuses where actual binding delegates were voted on by the participants.

I haven't fully figured out the Colorado thing, but I think it goes like this:

There are allegations that the delegate election process was manipulated by a handful of "controllers," and that the result does not reflect the mixed-will of the Colorado GOP. There will be challenges to some of the delegates. i imagine the detail basis for these challenges will be varied.

Meanwhile, Trump is using politics, talking about disenfranchised voters and so on, and this message is getting some traction among the public. Reince is likewise engaged in sound-bite defense. Manafort has gone on a different path, the one that follows the actual rules in place, which he does not object to.

I question the RNC's insistence that all delegates be bound in advance of the convention. I understand that doing so helps to script the convention activities, but that is really the only function of primaries and pre-convention binding. The RNC can tolerate a certain amount of uncertainty going in (some first ballot delegate positions unknown), but doesn't want to deal with a fully open process at that stage.

I am convinced Trump did not make a mistake in Colorado. The Republicans broadcast they had a 100 day plan to block Trump. Trump keyed on the Colorado process to make it look like the establishment is cheating. This is a well played plan to make it harder for the establishment to deny him the nomination.

And all Trump has to do is get to 1237.....good luck with that one.

Don’t you think those other politicians have an obligation to the voters to denounce the dirty trick politics? They have to AT LEAST say that they condemn maneuvers that are aimed at thwarting the will of voters. If they don’t, they’re condoning it, and they’re part of what has to be removed from DC

By contrast, Cruz supporters love rules. Just a reminder that laws and rules do not always lead to good or moral outcomes.

So we need a government of men, not laws? Is that it?

If I was going into a serious battle, Priebus is one of the last people I’d pick to be on my side.

I’ve read your post several times but can find no loigic or reason to your argument.

Possibly re-reading the last sentence carefully will clarify:

In effect, a candidate who wins a district with a plurality of only about 33 percent , as Mr. Trump has in earlier states’ primaries, ends up with 66 percent of the delegates.

Because this was skewed, Trump obviously benefitted more than any of the candidates. I didn't hear any of them whining about it.

You guys who splinter if everything doesn't go your well will never be able to get sufficiently united to stop them.

Things don't have to go MY way, they just have to go the VOTERS way for me to accept the results. Right now, voters are voting for Trump, not Cruz, sorry but that's the fact.

I don't believe that a politician in Ohio has an obligation to condemn how another state conducts its primaries.

And if you're going to get rid of every politicians who doesn't condemn things you oppose, you're going to end up with pretty much nobody. And since Democrats don't follow that standard....

You're handing them the keys to the Supreme Court and everything else. And you will never, ever get them back.

Ni, We need laws and rules which produce justice, not corruption. Corrupt laws and rules need to be identified and changed, not exploited for guilt free pursuit of corrupt ends.

If Trump had a majority of votes, I'd agree. Right now, a majority of voters have voted for someone other than him, and we simply don't know how those same voters would have come down if the only two choices available to them were Trump and Cruz.

That's why we elected delegates to vote their consciences if nobody has a first ballot majority.

However, party nominations are very different than actual elections.

Don't you get it? We've been LIED TO and MANIPULATED by the Republican Party since George 1 won the nomination. Last election, the Republicans got their majority in the HOR and US Senate. They gave Obama everything he wanted faster than they did when they didn't control both. GWB raced further down the slippery slope to globalism when he controlled everything. IT DOESN'T MATTER who's in power if the Republican Party doesn't respect its voting fodder. It the nation is going down anyway, let hillary figure it out! Trump is the ONLY ONE who can wake up the sleeping giant and turn things around.

Otherwise, a whole lot of lifelong 'pubs are going Kamikazee. Those 'pubs in elected office can either go down with the sinking ship or get on board the life boat!

The Denver Post had first reported the Colorado Republicans’ decision to cancel their state presidential caucus on August 25, 2015:
Better Check your Math , Reince Priebus

***********************************************

They didn't cancel a presidential caucus. They canceled their non-binding straw poll. Also, The Denver post referred to it as a presidential preference poll, not a caucus.

Better check your facts.

Yeah, I get that.

I'm OK with the states nominating processes but I wish there was a single nominating day to get this done and focus on the opposing party.

Trump is the ONLY ONE who can wake up the sleeping giant and turn things around.

There is no sleeping giant. The "Silent Majority" is a myth.

You win by building coalitions, and if you're smart and lucky, you get to be the guys on top of the winning coalition instead of the supporting cast. Trashing everyone who doesn't agree with you makes it impossible to build the kind of coalitions necessary to win.
