Donald Trump is poised to claim all of Maryland's 38 Republican delegates, if his dominant lead in a new Monmouth University poll out Wednesday is a reliable indicator.Nearly half of those likely to vote in the state's April 26 primary — 47 percent — said they would support Trump, while 27 percent said they will vote for Ohio Gov. John Kasich and 19 percent said they will support Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
Trump leads in all congressional districts, though by larger margins in the two eastern districts bordering the Chesapeake Bay, where he leads Kasich 54 percent to 24 percent and just 11 percent for Cruz, and in two western districts, where he holds a 44 percent to 25 percent advantage over the Ohio governor and 23 percent for Cruz. In the remaining districts along the Baltimore-Washington corridor, Trump's lead is smaller, with 43 percent to Kasich's 31 percent and Cruz's 20 percent.
Comments from Maryland's Republican Gov. Larry Hogan that he would not like to see Trump as the party's nominee also appear to have held little sway among respondents. Just 53 percent said they had heard of those remarks, and of those who had heard, 83 percent said it would have no impact on whom they would support in the primary.
If Trump is the party's nominee in November, 73 percent said they would vote for him, while 11 percent said they would support Hillary Clinton and another 8 percent said they would back an independent candidate. Three percent said they would not vote. With Cruz in the same situation, 67 percent said they would support him, while 8 percent said they would back Clinton and 10 percent said they would vote for an independent, with 7 percent indicating they would abstain.

If Trump could sweep all remaining events in April by sizeable margins calls should be for the others to suspend their campaigns and back Trump. That will not happen in my opinion because Cruz and the GOPe will fight to the bitter end.
This is about power and control of the party and the monied interests of the consultant class, media, big business and the Uniparty.
Perhaps this will soften the blow of The Donald getting totally skunked in Colorado. Or is this counter “dirty tricks” playing around with delegates?
I am sure Ted Cruz is very interested in what Trump supporters think Cruz should do for the good of the party.
If we are interested in what’s for the good of the party, we should elect Ted Cruz.
They won’t give up their dirty little game until it is too late for them. By the time Trump has control of the Justice Dept., he can order investigations into all these crooked thieves and liars.

Cruz has issues when voters actually vote. That is disturbing and it should worry you.
Trumps GOPe handlers? I think you meant Cruz there, as in every rally I’ve watched of Trumps he mentioned the corruption and bias within the GOPe.

If he does, which is likely, that will give him 302 more, with NY, for a total of 1057. Only 180 more needed, and 172 are waiting in California. And minus Cali, still ten states to go, with a total of 330 more up for grabs.
