Hillary Clinton told members of Al Sharpton's civil rights organization today that whites need to check their privilege when discussing racial inequality.
'White Americans need to do a much better job of listening when American-Americans talk about the seen and unseen barriers you face every day,' Clinton said at the National Action Network conference in New York City.
Clinton told attendees, 'We need to recognize our privilege and practice humility rather than assume our experiences are everyone else's experiences.'

This crapping on white people never ends. Its as if blacks are the master race. The blacks I am acquainted with are Caribbean and never give off this hate white vibe. Bill Clinton will say anything to get Hillary elected. But he’s so out of it he is often sabotaging it. He looks awful when he speaks.
I guess that being white male I am what she calls an American-American.

Hey sweetie - we don’t assume any such thing. We are normal people and we KNOW our experiences aren’t anywhere near YOURS!!!
I’ll recognize my privilege the day after minorities recognize that they need to stop blaming all their problems on others and take some responsibility. How about that?
A friend of mine commented how African-Americans had so much hate. She lived next door to a Nigerian couple, who made the same comment. They didn't relate to American blacks at all.
White folk have shown ‘humility’ for over 50 years, employing Affirmative Action in government jobs and the private sector, special scholarships to exceptional colleges, promotion of blacks in sports where earnings are outstanding, and quotas backed up with government assistance for housing, utilities and groceries not available to whites. And we have extended the AA umbrella to cover any black (or other miniority) from anywhere that happens to move to the USA, even if that move was 2 years ago. We’ve never limited our generosity to just the descendants of slave-holders. In a polite society humility is rewarded with acknowledgement of efforts and a certain degree of unspoken gratitude that an injustice in our history is being addressed when most countries have long moved past their historical record. In a society where so-called ‘activists’ make a career insisting minorities are entitled to more and more goodies from another race, (in spite of the reality that all races have a history of a small percentage of their own population slaveowning) we end up with a “One Tin Soldier” scenario.
What a bunch of crap. I worked for large companies most of my career and I wish I had half the privileges and so-called "barriers" they afforded to minorities. Getting promotions they didn't deserve, getting hired because they fit a demographic and not being able to fire them no matter how incompetent they were. That was unfair to everyone, especially the ones that were competent and deserved to be rewarded regardless.
Hillary is privileged.
I would love to be in a protected class and everyone afraid of offending me.
I am in a class with no proection, no one cares they offend me, and actively seek to, I get less than special treatment by businesses Imwork at and by government and by the legal system, and at the same time all these asshats say I am the privileged one.

Can’t help but think of the Ken Burns series “Jackie Robinson” that was shown on GA PBS the past two evenings. He had a lot to say AFTER he was allowed to do so but he never denigrated white Americans. Think of the time period (1947-53) and how different the times were. We didn’t hear all the “hate whitey” stuff we hear today and mostly encouraged and instigated by “the man” in the big WHITE HOUSE!
He had legitimate concerns/grievances wanting to eat with the rest of the Dodger team, stay in the same hotels, swim in the same pools, even use the same showers, etc. Not to mention the right to buy a home they could afford in a neighborhood they could afford and preferred.
The bulk of his treatment came from fellow players and was a heck of a lot more hideous than anything Sharpton or any other race hustler today ever had to put up with. It gave us a lot more insight into the man than any news story or movie ever did. It was excellent. Ken Burns does magnificent work!
