Bernie Sanders released his full 2014 federal tax return Friday, revealing that he mostly lives off a six-figure government salary and donated about 4 percent of his family’s income to charitable causes.
Sanders and his wife, Jane, donated $8,350 to charity while reporting an adjusted gross income of about $205,000 that year, according to the couple's joint tax return. The share of his family’s income that went to charity was about one-third the percentage of income that his primary opponent, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, gave to charitable groups.
The Sanders campaign released the return a day after a heated Democratic presidential debate in New York in which Sanders pledged to release the single return but hesitated to say when he would release additional years of his taxes. …

Well if his Adjusted Gross income was $205,000.00 that means they would have earned over $250K so that means he
is a 1% percenter he should protest himself and pay more taxes.

I garun-damn-tee you I would shock many people on this board If I told you what I would do to terrorists illegals, gang members, welfare cheats, child abusers, rapists, drug dealers, human/drug smugglers, corporate criminals, liberal groups and enemies in and out of the country. I think I followed that ;-) To me, a candidate’s religious preferences are a minor consideration, unless the candidate makes it a big part of his presentation. Then I examine it like anything else a candidate puts forth to understand what it says about them. And that’s where Cruz falls off the chart, because his actions don’t match up with his positioning on religious issues.
Of course Cruz looks positively magnanimous compared with Joe Biden. And to my mind, 4% is pretty chintzy when you’re a Democratic Socialist whose whole thing is giving away other peoples money til there’s no more left to give. So Bernie fails the test also.
In all fairness to the old coot, he made less money a year than Hillary made in any of her banking speeches/pay offs/bribes.

if you search online, you might be able to find the details showing that most of Clinton’s charitable donations go to their own Clinton Global Initiative.

I have attempted to back off on the knee jerk counter punches to the Trump supporters. I believe most of them mean well. I just wish we all could chill on the attacks of fellow FreeRepublic posters.

To compare the percentage of income with hillary’s is insane. They’re in two different economic worlds.
That’s more than Biden, who gave something like $400 in 2014.
