It’s on: Tensions between Trump and the GOP escalate in public fight
Washington Post ^ | Apr.15, 2016 | Jenna Johnson and Ed O'Keefe

Tensions between the Republican Party and its own front-runner erupted into a full-blown public battle as top party officials rebuked Donald Trump on Friday for alleging that the GOP primary system was “rigged” against him.

The dispute, which has been simmering for days, centers on Trump’s failure to win any delegates last weekend in Colorado, which selected its 34 delegates at a party convention rather than a primary attended by voters. All went to Trump’s chief rival, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas.

The outcome prompted a daily stream of complaints and allegations this week from Trump, who wrote in an op-ed published in Friday’s Wall Street Journal that the “system is being rigged by party operatives with ‘double-agent’ delegates who reject the decisions of voters.”

Delicious tip.

I’ll keep that in mind while snacking.

Keep those torches burning bright.

Trump didn’t attend the convention and has the nerve to whine when he doesn’t get any delegates.

Trump is doing horribly in the Rocky Mountain States because of his elitist statements supporting federal control of western lands. Colorado is not an outlier.

Westerners in flyover states have told Manhattanite Trump to pound sand multiple times. Donald is so out of touch with ordinary Americans he doesn’t understand when they give him the finger.

He becomes the head of the GOP when he is elected President.

As of now, Romney is calling the shots and is behind the Cruz coup.

Romney is one of the most dishonest people alive today.

So we can infer he will take out Romney followed by Rove and the Bush family influence.

He will put his own people in the GOP leadership. It will be ethical and operated with a high degree of integrity.

Really? Did Ted lie about Neil Bush and others from Jeb’s campaign now working on his campaign? Did Romney not back Cruz? The Bush family and Romney are the GOPe! Look at who funds Cruz campaign and tell me they are not the establishment of the GOPe. You are deluding yourself if you pretend otherwise.

But it will backfire on Cruz if he can take out Trump their use of Cruz will be complete and they will discard him.

In 2012, 66,000 Republicans voted.

Rick Santorum beat Mitt Romney with over 6% of the vote.

Rick got only 6 delegates.

Romney took 28 delegates

Colorado’s good at cheatin’

Most the folks too high to notice.

The GOPe is against the social conservative - unless he's sold out to them, like Kim Jong Cruz.

LOL! I never get tired of seeing Kim Jong Cruz's chubby little cheeks in that TOTALLY apropos picture. :)

Sean Spicer is responsible for setting up Trump on all the debates.

This guy made Trump sign the pledge asking Trump to support the nominee no matter who it was, but now refuse to back Trump as the nominee. Huge hypocrite.

As His Party Implodes Over Trump, RNC Spox Says 'It's A Great Day To Be A Republican'

Spicer - You're FIRED How would you like to have this guy's job?

On the day that former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney came out and blasted Donald Trump and basically hinted that the party should deny Trump the nomination at a brokered convention, regardless of whether or not he's got the majority of delegates, RNC Communications Director Sean Spicer wants the viewers over on Fox to believe that it's all business as usual, and wraps up this interview with host Neil Cavuto by telling him that it's a “great day to be a Republican.”

If Spicer had to spin any harder, he'd be in orbit.

Spicer HATES Trump and is afraid of being fired by a Trump Administration.

Spicer is against the voters.

Colorado has 1.2 million Indies nearly 1 million each dems and Republicans

Trump could easily win CO in November with the high number of Indies piggybacking the R vote. Now CO has likely blown that outcome.

A majority of Americans agree the system is rigged and this issue is going to propel Trump to 1237 through the will of the voters.

Oh, you mean the Duchy of Grand Tedwick, AKA the small Liechtenstein-like state of Cruzutahidahocolorado, where Ted will hole up in his Eagle's Nest in the last redoubt, after that Meanie Mcmeanpants Trump takes away Ted's Precious? :)

When will you Trump nut jobs realize that States make their own rules, not the GOP, not Washington. Read the friggin constitution. The rules in each state were submitted over a year ago. Quit your darned whining!

It’s a real shame what the RNC has been pulling in those states.

This year Trump is ripping them up for doing it.

This is as corrupt as the Democrat process.

</i> This is the best strategy for Trump. Run against the party within the party. Run against both parties.</I>

Well, if he runs against against the GOP in the general election, I’m not voting for him. I’d rather lose the Presidency this year than hand Congress over to the Democrats forever.
