Just Vote Colorado
Colorado GOP website ^ | unk | Colorado GOP

Looks like Colorado knows how to hold a regular primary, when it wants to. They have one on June 28, 2016 for every office EXCEPT PRESIDENT. From the Senate on down. Sounds like regular voters are allowed to register their opinion on this election, without voting for blind delegates, evidently.

Your thoughts?

“Ted Cruz is not whining... he’s working to get delegates.”

In America, candidates should be working to get citizens’ votes, not buy off a few delegates.

I still believe in states rights, even though Donald apparently does not.

If the people of Colorado want to change their system, they can do so.

However, the system they have in place now was easy enough to understand.

Ted Cruz and his staff understood it.

Donald didn’t bother.

Stop whining, Donald, you are making a fool of yourself.

Trump is not entitled to votes he didn’t get.

Sorry about that.

I know he thinks he should be entitled to all the votes whether he earns them or not.

The more he talks about this, the more obvious it becomes that he was outsmarted.

And he is very, very smart... he will tell you so.

The GOPe loves them some Ted Bush. When they have real elections, Cruz generally loses but when they let party hacks decide Cruz generally wins. That tells me all I need to know about Calgary Ted.

Sorry, lady, but nobody bought votes.

You need to learn not to believe every word that Trump says.

There was a somewhat complicated system in place in Colorado and, sadly, a candidate could not win votes by tweeting from one’s bed in Trump Towers.

Trump is making a fool of himself and of his followers.

He is revealing himself as lazy and unorganized.

What possible evidence do you have that Ted Cruz ‘bought off a few delegates?’

Donald Trump has money. Why didn’t he ‘buy off’ some delegates.

Don’t you see how silly this is?

You are a typical Trump supporter.

That is not a compliment.

I think that is a cliche and shallow analysis - at that level I could make Hitler look good and the Buddha look bad, but we obviously disagree.

I will be voting for Donald Trump in November. I hope you will too. In fact, I know you will.

“My thoughts are that it is a very bad policy. But the State can change it. I am not in favor of compelling States to change their laws through coercing them, but through the ballot box. It’s called States Right to Govern”

But where does the “private GOP organization” end and the state gov begin?

If the GOP wants to create it’s product, let it. But don’t beg for our money and input claiming it determines the product.

"Bigoted", in your own way.

It’s sad to think that the same professional political types who write these rules for delegate selection are basically the same people who helped develop the Internal Revenue Code into what it is today. And they probably still wonder why so many people are voting against the establishment.

Those who write the rules do so for not entirely altruistic reasons. They will, in every instance, make rules to protect their own interests, making the greater good a secondary consideration.

Not quite sure what you meant in your post?

Are you saying the federal government should establish rules for the states as to how to conduct their primaries?

If so, then what else do the feds get to tell the states.

It is very dangerous to change policy based on the fact that Donald Trump did not like the result in Colorado.

Whatever the system there was, he had an equal opportunity to get in there and get the votes. He’s always bragging that he has money.

In fact, this morning on Fox and Friends, he said that he wasn’t going to spend money in Wyoming because he didn’t think he could win.

So... apparently, he did not want to spend money or send staff or do any of the things that you do to win in a state.

So now, he has roused his followers into frenzy and they don’t even know what they’re mad about.

So ... let me see if I understand you.

The people in Colorado who established the primary selection rules also developed the Internal Revenue Service?

Interesting.

What else have they done? Did they write Obamacare also?

I am appalled.

Trump counts on the ignorance, LIV state and the laziness of his supporters to be able to continue to rabble-rouse them into a ranting stupor. He’s the ultimate “community organizer”, in fact. Keep them pissed off and protesting, if not outright violent....and they’ll continue to be so loyal that Trump could indeed shoot someone in public and be deemed “justified” by those loyalists.

The fact that most of them didn’t bother to find out how Colorado chose to do things back in August is telling. They will still blindly follow him...even if it’s over that proverbial cliff.

This is too much like Democrats for me. Wanting a "do over" or recount, until "their" guy wins.

Let it go. If you can win the nomination, do so.

Thanks for posting that. So true. I was beginning to think I was alone in a zombie wilderness.

Who are these people?

Were they ever sane and, if so, what happened.

I just cannot see anything in the persona of Donald Trump that would inspire such blind loyalty.

I think that Colorado republicans should write in “Donald Trump” for every office from dog catcher on up as a protest vote.

The rigged Colorado outcome has had an effect on Cruz’s poll numbers.
And not in a good way.
