Check 17. The gap is widening, and about to get even wider. I think Bill Mitchell is right. Cruz will step out of the race just to preserve his career.

Even you know better then to buy that garbage you are spewing. Come over to the side fighting for America, at least we have a chance at winning.

Yes when the GOPe picks the winner at a GOPe convention Cruz wins, when the American people pick the winner with actual votes in a primary Trump wins. You can have your GOPe butt boy Cruz.

"You got to know when to hold 'em ...

... know when to fold 'em."

Mr. Trump knows.

Cruz doesn't!

Wyoming ... meh!

It would practically guarantee 1237 for Trump. Right now Cruz is getting delegates with no viable hope of getting the nomination on the first ballot. Second ballot winners don't fare well in the general;

FR POSTED: New Quinnipiac NY Poll (Trump 55%, Kasich 20%, Cruz 19%)

You can add Cruz's bash-Trump marathon to the list of his flops.

The important story here is that Cruz continues to excel at the inside delegate process.

And Trump continues to excel at gaining the actual votes of the people.

Cruz is crashing in the polls now.

I'll actually vote for whoever isn't the Hill or the Berm. The fury of the Trumpsters makes the whole thing sound distasteful, but realistically, I'm not going to blame Trump for his supporters.

But I am truly puzzled. If I promise to believe that Cruz is a hapless, unpopular, incompetent nerd who has NO CHANCE at getting CLOSE to winning the nomination or election against the puissant and almighty Trump . . . will you tell me why Trump's fans are so obsessed with Cruz? Why give him a thought?

"Keep posting polls while Cruz gains dozens of delegates a day."

As you examine your political hopes at night, just before you sleep, you should ask yourself:

What happens if my hopes come true?

The answer is that ALL of Trumps supporters will either follow him to a 3rd party, or they will vote against every Republican on the ballot.

While that scenario is not considered righteous by many, or most, that's what will happen.

As sure as the day is long.

2016 Republican Delegate Allocation: WYOMING/ 66% less voted than 2012!
FHQ Frontloading Headquarters blogspot ^ | December 27, 2015 | Josh Putnam U. of GA professor

The Bottom line is that a much smaller number are now choosing representatives blindly without a straw poll to select future delegates. The Bottom line is that .03% of the voters will select the POTUS nominee. This is 66% less than voted in 2012.
The Wyoming Republican Party delegate selection plan is more like Colorado’s than anything else. Registered Republicans, with lots of time and means are able to follow each step of the lengthy process. They are more likely to be activists within the state party than ordinary republicans interested in the presidential race. That has an impact on turnout and eventually the outcome of the delegate selection process. This grants the state party much more control over the selection process. Republicans are being represented by committeemen at the local precinct level. Blindly, you have chosen someone, you have no certainty as to how they may select a delegate who will then vote on your behalf to nominate a candidate.

By doing away with the early straw poll, the election is now blind. Later, Wyoming delegates will eventually be bound to the presidential candidate to whom they have pledged heading into the conventions where those delegates are chosen.

By having only an approved committee vote for the delegates, the party is ensured their choice wins.

Note: Another state that has changed their rules to exclude a lot of voters: The last polling (summer) in Wyoming had Jeb Bush in the lead. Bush=Cheney= Wyoming! ... Wyoming party officials realize they could have lost (perhaps they did) 2012 to Rick Santorum. For 2016, they tightened the party reins and were able to cut out lots of pesky voters, about 2/3 of them.

2012 Primary Election results with 270,000 Wyoming Republicans

Mitt Romney.........822.......38.99%.... 11

Rick Santorum......679.......31.93%...... 8

Ron Paul...............439.......20.83%...... 6

Newt Gingrich.......165.........7.83%...... 2

Others.....................9..........0.43%...... 0

2016 Caucus with 272,000 Registered republican voters .03 % of voters choose the President

980 Committeemen choose the delegates. 66% less than the 2012 Primary election

“why Trump’s fans are so obsessed with Cruz? Why give him a thought?”

Because of the way we get attacked and belittled, plenty in this thread alone as evidence of that.

Another rigged outcome against Trump.

Why not let the people vote directly for a candidate?

"narrow the gap"

For what, all of three days? Before New York puts Trump like 250+ delegates ahead, and then it expands to I-don't-know what on April 26?

You know Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders are doing poorly when they consider Wyoming a win worth trumpeting.

Are these polls we trust now? Or do we trust the other ones. I’m so confused. Oh never mind they show Trump winning so they are accurate.
