Trump Supporters Walk Out of Georgia Delegate Fight After Party Picks Cruz Supporter...
Breitbart ^ | April 16, 2016 | Patrick Howley

Posted on 04/16/2016 5:51:19 PM PDT by bobsunshine

Donald Trump supporters walked out of a delegate election in Georgia Saturday to protest a vote that robbed Trump of all of his slated delegates from a district that he won in the primary.

A Cruz-Rubio alliance at the district convention in Buford, Georgia helped to knock Trump supporters out of the district’s national delegation altogether. Cruz supporters implied that Trump’s people would “embarrass” the district at the convention in Cleveland. Then things got heated.

“This morning, I attended Georgia 7th Congressional District GOP convention as a delegate and a Donald Trump supporter. We were there to elect the 3 delegates and 3 alternates to the national convention,” Ronnie Kurtz told Breitbart News. “Per the primary results, two slots were for Trump, and one was for Rubio. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% Cruz finished third in the primary and had no delegates allotted to him…Nonetheless, the hall was stacked with Cruz delegates.”

On the first ballot, the party voted on a delegate slate that would have taken away one of Trump’s delegates but would have, at least, still given him one representative. That bloc would have given Trump supporter Debbie Dooley one of the slots and a Cruz supporter named Carolyn Fisher another slot, with a Rubio slot going to local party convention chairman BJ Van Gundy. But Cruz supporters voted down that slate.

“He seems to think the game is over once he scores a goal and then walks off the field.”

Yes, The game should be over at that point. But Cruzers come in AFTER the game is won and erase the score card and write in a first place score even though they came in THIRD. Now they CLAIM a victory they never won! That is called CHEATING!

The PEOPLE voted for Trump, and they got Cruz. How is that right?

Well Cruz must be more talented than I thought. He fooled EVERY conservative organization that exists. They ALL rate him 100% conservative or within a few points of it.

Maybe more discerning folks, such as yourself, should start a conservative organization or Tea Party 2 to straighten all the other conservatives out. Obviously we don’t know what conservative means.

Because I thought on taxes, conservatives were for lower taxes, like Cruz, and unlike Clinton. And I thought on abortion, conservatives were pro-life, like Cruz, and unlike Clinton. And I thought on education, conservatives were for parent choice, like Cruz, and unlike Clinton. And I thought on homosexual marriage, conservatives were for states rights, like Cruz, and unlike Clinton. And I thought on freedom of conscience, conservatives were for Constitutional 1st amendment protection, like Cruz, and unlike Clinton. And I thought on gun rights, conservatives were for Constitutional 2nd amendment protection, like Cruz, and unlike Clinton.

Please clarify where Hillary Clinton has demonstrated ANYTHING more conservative than Ted Cruz. Be specific.

In most states a "win" = your guy gets first round votes, in some he also gets second round votes. It can't equal forever round votes or you could never resolve no one having a majority. None of the above is being taken away from Trump, he still gets what he won. Like everyone else he had a fair and equal shot at winning votes in the first round AND after the first round, when the popular vote alone HAD failed to decide things so additional criteria applied. Winning by the expanded criteria requires additional work, organization and expense, but is as old as the country. In fact it's older than winning nominations by popular voting.

Trump gambled (and as a casino owner/operator he should not only understand gambling, but the houses' advantages under the rules!) he'd win in the first round and could save himself any expenses in learning the subsequent house rules and pursuing victory under them. Now he's learning what house rules are like... when he's not the house! I wonder how many gamblers at his casinos are granted waivers to house rules that bite them? Trump may still pull it out, under the rules as written. But if he wants to change the rules retrospectively, his losing casino customers should use Trump's logic to sue him for retrospective refunds.

I disagree with a couple of things in your post. First the “average Joe” part. If he can get on the ballot he without millions he has managed a big grassroots movement. That means loads of people. That means great communications channels. That means having people in the local and state party. Which would follow that he would have people who support him at the party convention.

In politics, people count. People you can count on matter even more.

The second point is supposedly exposing “corruption”. He has lifted the lid off of processes that most folks haven’t paid any attention to since the 70’s. If folks weren’t so hell bent on breaking things they might try to fix them for the next go-round.

OK you failed to answer the question when I put out a serious question out there.

So lets have a mature conversation for once and you answer why you do what you do.

Now the general is based on the majority winning a state. The states then sends it’s count and the most on the count wins.

Now the swing states like here in FL play the big part.

Do you agree with all of this thus far?

OK so not you support a guy who has only won 4 states where people vote, do you agree with that?

Now does it not concern you that people are not voting for your guy and then you want that guy to go in the general when he can’t get votes he needs and in my state he cant win ?

Instead of being sarc just be mature and answer and tell us why you support this guy , especially when more and more are getting angry at him and refusing to vote for him based on what he is doing?

Yes it is not FR I am talking about , but the people here in FL which is am must win state.
Do you honestly want to see Clinton back in the White House?

The voters have exactly the same amount of say as they did with Reagan.

The way the rules were set up in the late 70’s is pretty easy to find. Reagan simply had better organization and more support all around than trump.

It is the only conclusion I can come to about the GOP.

What I still can’t get is why people would vote for him knowing he can’t win the swing states, voters are getting angry at him, and people are not voting for him.

If people are not voting for him then he is not a strong candidate for the general, what is so hard for these people to understand.?

I knew both parties are corrupt , because all they care about is their gravy train, but so see how corrupt they are on both sides is not what the founding fathers wanted.

The voters are being denied to and yet some take great glee in seeing this.

Stunning.

“Hitlery is not more conservative than Cruz.’

I don’t know about that. One thing is for certain, come November she won’t be nearly as hated.

The GOPe wants Hillary.

As Trump closes in on the target, that will become more obvious.
