The vindictive nature of the posts at Free Republic has gotten darker and darker with the Trump team postings. This is indicative of the Trump spiteful leadership.

No, this is indicative of the relentless character assassination campaign Donald Trump has been subjected to by the Left/Media/GOPe, and "me too" Cruz campaign.

People are sick of having the GOP frontrunner savaged by the entire Establishment power structure that is terrified of losing power, could care less about what's good for America, and wants to preserve a system where every member of the Uniparty has a spot reserved for them at the feeding trough.

Constant slander, derogation, and propaganda will do that to People.

It's amusing to me how quickly the Trump-haters ceded the moreal high ground with respect to Donald Trump.

As crass and blunt as Trump is sometimes, his foibles pale in comparison to the systematic demonizatoin engaged in by the Cruz/GOPe campaign and Donald Trump's detractors.

There's a reason that Ted Cruz is tanking in the polls: he has nothing to offer other than his obsession with Donald Trump.

After Tuesday night, and next Tuesday, with Te Cruz trailing a distant third behind even Jon Kasich, it will be time for Cruz to face reality and try to begin helping unify the party and heal the deep wounds which the suicidal GOPe has been inflicting. If Cruz quickly pivots and begins this process, he might even end up with the VP slot. If he doesn't, it'll be someone else. Vote Trump

Thanks for the “adult” comment. To conflate Beck’s visible mental instability with Donald Trump, as the poster to you did, just shows you how at least some Cruz supporters have gotten in line to go over the dam with both Beck and Cruz. Their visceral anger at those of us who hold different views than they do, is what’s really gone over the top. They are getting about as bad as those who support Bernie on the other side.

Huh?

I have never heard a single Trump supporter say such a thing.

Strangely, members of the GOPe HAVE been quoted as saying if Trump is the nominee, they WILL vote for Hillary.

Could you provide evidence of Trump supporters purposely desiring to vote democrat? Destruction of GOP over Trump winning? Thanks.

The only vindictiveness I see here are the insane Cruzers, who post and post and post the same article again and again.

Really, Cruzoids, give it up. Your hate is showing.

They have several descriptions of Glen Beck in the DSM V.

Glenn Beck is diagnosably mentally ill, and that it what it is, it affects his emotions and judgment - I neither condemn nor excuse his behavior.

Ted Cruz on the other hand ... well the article talks about Beck hitching his wagon to the wrong horse ... the problem is actually the other way around -> why did Cruz hitch to Glenn Beck? That's like an addict who slowly but steadily just start associating with shady and ill characters.

A lot of things are falling into place ... and that place is this: Ted Cruz has been grasping at Becks, scrounging up delegates here and there - like a drunk at 6:30 am looking for 1/4 filled beers left over from last night's party, sleeping with the enemy like a homeless crack mother who will sleep with anyone for another fix.

He behaves like an addict - only the drug is power (not unusual for a nerdy, skinny smart kid rejected by his peers - as we know he was and is) and he's in withdrawal.

He will do literally anything to move his ambition forward for one more drink of power.

The guy is unfit for command, and possibly Ted should be diagnosed with something. I've said it many times ... there is something wrong with Ted ... we're not just seeing character flaws ... we're seeing a deficiency in human socio-psycho development. Don't know the underlying cause - aspergers, something else ... but there is something wrong with him, something seriously missing.

Tell me five things the GOP has done in the past 15 years to advance conservatism? If Graham, Bush, McCain, McConnel, and the rest would have spent a tenth of the energy fighting Obama as they did fighting the Tea Party Trump would not be in this race.

“...the Trumpist crowd. Some are actually more committed to demolishing the Republican party...”

Not that there’s anything wrong with that. The GOP needs to be destroyed.

I managed to avoid him until a technician at my dentist said I should check him out. This was when Beck had his Fox TV show.

I watched about half of one episode before getting terminally disaffected by his not-so-subtle manipulations. He was worse than a Southern Baptist Mothers’ Day sermon. I’m amazed he’s lasted as long as he has.

I caught M. Kelly last week on the day of the Trump New York Rally. She had one of those focus groups on and she was MCing it. There were three people in the group who were so annoying. I mean get the bouncer and throw them out annoying. When the camera focused on them they were Cruz supporters. They were so rabid, it was embarrassing.
