Trump: If I win, I might oust RNC chairman
CNN ^ | April 18, 2016 | Daniella Diaz

Posted on 04/18/2016 9:49:11 AM PDT by McGruff

If Donald Trump clinches the 1,237 delegates required to win the Republican nomination, he said he's not sure he'll keep Reince Priebus as chairman of the Republican National Committee.

"I don't know. I haven't made the determination," the Republican front-runner told The Washington Post in an interview posted Sunday.

The comments come as Trump spent the last few days attacking the Republican Party's nominating rules -- calling the process "rigged" against him -- which has caused top members to fight before their meeting in Florida later this week.

What is your implication, that if I am not conversant with the particulars said crimes must not exist?

Pretty much, yeah. Unless you believe the president can arrest anyone at will.

The General Election isn’t until November dumbass. No one’s “will” has been thwarted other than your Messiah The Donald.

LOL!

The Tyrant is revealing his true nature.

NO STATES RIGHTS!

Just as the RNC does not dictate to the states, the Federal Government’s powers are limited to those specifically enumerated in the Constitution.

But, not if Donald is in charge!

I do not believe that the president can arrest anyone at will. Neither do I believe that one rises as high as that in politics unless one is a serial felon.

Even if he doesn’t have the actual power to do so. How could a GOP leader survive if the White House cuts him out of the loop and wont deal with him any further?

Gone!

Amazing the kind of power Cruz thinks the president has.

No duh, way to get off point. Try to remove the Cruz fog that is rotting your brain.

As president he would be able put who he wants into the RNC. Even if he couldn't and did, it doesn't compare to the voter disenfranchisement that is happening.

Also, look in the mirror and behold the underwhelming spectacle of a cultist before you toss around words like messiah.

I think regardless if Trump gets the nomination or not, the GOPe/RNC are finished.

Life as these cockroaches have known it will be over.

For one thing, they’ll have to actually work for a living.

I didn’t know that the president had the power to fire the party chairman.

The new monarch is not bound to any law, especially those he has never read like, in the Constitution.

Actually, no he can't - not unless they agree. Here is the pertinent rule:

"(a) The officers of the Republican National Committee shall consist of:

(1) A chairman and a co-chairman of the opposite sex who shall be elected by the members of the Republican National Committee. ...The chairman or co-chairman may be removed from office only by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the entire Republican National Committee.

" So unless Trump can get 2/3 of the RNC to go along with him, he can't oust Priebus, and unless he can get a majority of the RNC to go along with him, he can't get his own person installed. Now since Trump has made such a point of insulting and pissing off every member of the RNC, how likely do you think it is that they would want Trump supporters in those spots?

Exactly why is this surprising or even news? It is almost always the case that a new President does two things at the start. One is to put his own team as head of the party apparatus and two to fire every political appointee that has not chosen to resign.

This CNN report rates a Duh for useful information. Bush 43 really screwed himself by not ruthlessly following number two.

If Sir Lard Huckabee doesn’t want to move to DC (lives in Destin now) and take a Cabinet job for Trump, he would make a luxurious, Trumptastic RNC Chairman. Yuge.

I would think after his two year term is over, he could exert enough pressure and have enough influence in the party to ensure that he is not there.

He can't. It takes a 2/3 vote of the RNC to remove the chairman. Once again, Trump pays no attention to the rules.

Trump to Reindeer Penis

Reindeer Your Fired.

Reindeer Penis is twice as bad as Micheal Steel ever was.

Allowing Harwood and Kelly to moderate debates, not culling the field by requiring 10 percent support to be in debates.
Now there are about 400 delegates that can’t be voted on first ballot, making it hard to get to 1237, should reduce count to 1037 because of Reindeer Penis F-ed up letting 17 people run for office, and not setting debate standards for support higher.

Fire Reindeer Penis

Incorrect. The nominee becomes head of the Party and if elected as President has historically chosen the party chairman.

RNC delegates have generally gone along with the POTUS's pick, but Donald Trump is not really a Republican.
