The constitution says we have a representative form of government.
NOT a representative form of VOTING.
I don’t really think he has a career in the Senate. His Senate colleagues hate him and he will most definitely be primaried by Texas Republicans. His ONLY goal his whole life was to be President.
States rights are also in question by trumpers.
One of the most valuable things in our Republic.
But trumpers would abandon states rights in a minute if The Donald could be allowed to set the rules in all of the states’ primaries.
It’s amazing how none of the trumpers complained when The Don was able to win early states with only a third or so of the votes. was that fair???
Of course it was.
It’s the Donald.
The threads full of whining and crying are getting really obnoxious.
Is that all you got, trumpers?
You are correct. My criticism of the Trump campaign was in his failure to adequately counteract Cruz's game of getting his people into delegate positions and winning in caucus only states.
Democrats have a century and a half of experience in ballot box stuffing and voter manipulation, examples being Tammany Hall in New York, the Pendergasts in Kansas City, the Daleys in Chicago, the Parrs in South Texas, and the "whites only" primaries in the South. They accomplished fraud long before the voting became computerized. Electronic balloting merely expands the opportunities to cheat.
Trump did not adequately prepare for the later stages of the primary season, and Cruz is making progress in this area. Had he or his staff planned better, they would not have to depend upon the final primaries, which are still six weeks away, for any chance of reaching the magic number. Trump and his advisers had better be fast learners, and he had better be willing to spend hundreds of millions, for the Clinton machine is major league, vs. the farm team led by the Texas senator.
Your post is a very accurate assessment. Trump should have immediately replaced Stone at the time they had their falling out. Stone may be slippery, but he knows how to play the game. And Cruz and his staff are like weasels, so what difference would it have made. As soon as he got wind that Cruz was defecting his delegates he should have mirrored the same operation. Trump should have had this in the bag by now, the rest of the states should have been the icing on the cake.
Democrats have gotten very emboldened with their cheating methods since 2000 when Soros bought the seats of 6-7 of the SOS positions in key battleground states. They now cheat with impunity. He needs an extra 5-7% just to overcome the fraud-vote against HillBillies. And if dems lose any election, their goal is to keep recounting and finding new votes until they win.
For any republican to win the presidency, they need a fraud alert team. Plus, they need boots on the ground everywhere watching everything or they will walk away with this election. Over the years, we have watched and prevented several instances of fraud. Early voting is ripe for this. Later, we reported it back to the campaign. I never have gotten much of a response beyond, Thanks.
Cruzers on Free Republic Campaign Theme Song
Cruzers on FR will align with ANYBODY if it supports Cruz. Sick people they are.
I don’t see Cruz with much of a future in the senate either. Which is why I find it so puzzling that Cruz didn’t already cut a deal for VP or Scalia’s chair. Its like the guy is just self destructive.
How would he get Scalia’s chair? No Democrat is going to nominate him. And he’s so hated by his own colleagues that I can’t imagine that he’d have any Republican support.
If Trump were to nominate Cruz for the SCOTUS I doubt there would be much resistance in the Republican camp. He would be confirmed. But that ship has likely sailed along with VP.
IMO Ted Cruz intellectually gifted as he may be is a self destructive force and he’s going to end up back in the Senate with nothing to show for all this money, time and effort.
And I have a strong feeling that he’s going to be primaried by the Texas GOP. People genuinely dislike him, and he’s made no friends during his Senate tenure. They’ll look for a young Rick Perry type to replace him, someone who the camera actually likes.
