That isn’t what you were promoting, remember? Go back and read what you posted.

What you posted was endorsing the idea of seniority, the kind that meant it was Bob Doles turn to run for president.

Representative government doesn’t include the kind of petty tyrants you were tying to defend.

Unbound PA delegates should worry Trump, Cruz, and the establishment. We have no way of knowing whether they are sincere supporters of the candidate they claim to support (some are), "good soldiers" who will faithfully represent their district's voters at least in the first ballot (VERY likely, since those are their neighbors and for many their voters), or stealth delegates there to create mischief (a few, especially first timers).

However, I suspect many from PA and elsewhere will desert their designated candidate on the second ballot, whether out of self interest or because a party leader from the state or national level pulls them aside and explains why the party needs them to "do the right thing". I do not want to see this get to a second ballot!

Naked cheating, they are not even trying to hide it. Just like Hillary! What is the difference between them?

“Apparently you don’t like the Republican form of government, and want direct elections.

Did you also support Gore in Bush v. Gore?”

Apples versus oranges

Nobody said anything about a direct election and Nobody here is saying abolish the electoral college. They are complaining that delegates are not fairly elected.

If there is a primary where the party members vote the the candidate that finishes third should not end up with more convention delegates than the candidate that finishes first.

No delegates should go to the convention unbound. No matter how you slice, if this happened it would be considered election fraud in the general election. It ought to be considered so in a primary

And that’s exactly why Ted Cruz is a candidate who has, and will continue to have, no real legitimacy.

Ted Cruz is not a constitutional-conservative. Were Cruz really a constitutional-conservativehe would not be running for president. There is no way in he[[ that the son of a Cuban born in Canada is a natural born citizen of the United States under original intent.

There is no way a constitutional-conservative would have voted for the Corker amendment.

There is no way a constitutional-conservative would have voted to reauthorize the Patriot Act.

There is no way a constitutional-conservative would have voted for the TPP enabling TPA.

Ted Cruz is also a liar, conservatives used to not like lairs.

So the grass roots activists who volunteer, put in their time for years are now “corrupt politicians”?

Trump won every county but one in Florida. Rich, lower income and middle class. All Trump. It doesn’t get anymore grassroots than that.

You are confusing grassroots with GOP hobbyists. It should be no surprise the GOP hobbyists are enamored with another slick Harvard lawyer career politician. We’ve seen that movie before. It has a bad ending.

This is fascinating. I don’t remember a primary season like this one ever.

The only difference for this primary season, is that the facade collapsed, and we're seeing what goes on. We're seeing the political system is a sham, and has been for a very long time. And we don't like what we see one bit.

The sad thing is that the Cruz supporters boast of this as if it is a good thing!

Rigged. It’s rigged. Calling it “ground game” doesn’t change the net result—lose the vote, win the delegates.

Many of us will going to walk away from the GOP...

They can write their damn ‘rules for themselves’ without our approval OR presence... Short sighted fools.

“We elect representatives who then go vote their conscious”

Excuse me. That’s not what is happening and you know it.

Cruz has delegates pretending to be Trump supporters who are reportedly ready to switch during Round Two if it comes to that.

That pretention, that fakeness, falseness, being misleading, is what you are celebrating right now.

There is NOTHING American about that. Nothing.

We elect representatives who then go vote their conscious. Sometimes we disagree with their decisions. That’s the way the Founders established our Republic.

When we elect representatives like congressmen and senators, we've had a chance to hear how they stand before voting for them in the primary, and thus can select those representatives WHO ACTUALLY REPRESENT OUR INTENTIONS. For the most part, these delegates are unknowns.

At least in PA, we have a list of pro-Trump delegates going into the voting booth, so we can vote for those who actually REPRESENT our intentions

Cruz supporters are going to realize what a terrible mistake it was to run this civil war deep into July. You’re going to realize that, just like his bomb throwing in the senate didn’t advance any cause, he will have destroyed any unity amongst the same “squishy Republicans, Independents and crossover Democrats he is so badly going to need in the swing states. A loss of Florida’s 29 electoral votes would require him to win WI and PA just to break even again; then carry the swing states of NC, VA,and OH.

At 8:01 on election night, because the voters he has insulted stay home, Ted Cruz will lose the great sunshine state of Florida, and with that, the election.

While you’re having a few beers to drown out the loss, you might do well to have a few shots along with it, because the GOP will lose Rubio’s Senate seat as well.

” They are also very well-informed people who are simply not falling for the newly-minted conservative Trump.”

IN other words they are a bunch of pro-establishment hypocrites. Sorry. If they want Cruz they should be Cruz delegates from the start, not pretend to be Trump delegates and play when the GOP buys them off to support Cruz.

But hey, pro-hypocrisy establishment types are all the rage this election cycle right? Sure seems to be the preference of some folks. That doesn’t make them more informed than anyone else.

Well any delegates Cruz wins will become unbound again when he drops out in a few weeks. Cruz should have cut a deal with Trump after Super Tuesday. Now that ship has sailed and he’s outsmarted himself into a defeat everyone saw coming but Ted. He will soon be back in his senate seat contemplating his navel.
