Cruz Slams Trump: Campaign Seems Incapable Of 'Running A Lemonade Stand'
Hannity.com ^ | April 19th, 2016 | by Hannity.com Staff

Texas Senator Ted Cruz is dismissing charges from the Trump campaign that his recent delegate victories in states like Colorado and Wyoming are a result of an unfair and arcane primary system. In a interview on The Sean Hannity Show, Cruz accused the Trump campaign pushing a narrative that claims that the primary system is rigged.

"All of this noise and complaining and whining has come from the Trump campaign because they don't like the fact that they've lost five election in a row," Cruz said on Tuesday. The Texas Senator noted that 1.3 million people have participated in the recent contests despite some calling them 'voteless elections'.

"Republicans are uniting behind our campaigns so they are screaming on Drudge--and it's getting echoed--this notion of 'voteless elections' it is nonsense," Cruz said.

Cruz credited his grassroots support with his recent string of successes. He also explained that Trump's loss is not a result of skulduggery on the part of his campaign, but on a lack of organizational skill from Trump's.

"Donald Trump's campaign does not know how to organize on the grassroots, and so when the delegates are elected the real conservative activists show up, they elect delegates and we are winning those elections over and over and over again," Senator Cruz explained to Sean. "I cannot help that the Donald Trump campaign does not seem capable of running a lemonade stand."

22 idiots showed up for Cruz in Pennsylvania. What is wrong with those creeps. Zero principles for one. 22 people. Hahahahahaha!

At my District Caucus, virtually no Trump supporters showed up. I have heard that this was repeated all over Washington State.

District delegates elect State delegates elect National Delegates. So Washington State will have a full slate of the people who showed up. Cruz people.

The Primary will force those people to vote for whoever wins on the first ballot.

On the second ballot, I understand they are free.

So Trump can win Washington for Round 1, and lose it for Round 2.

Eventually, some Trump people have to show up and do work. You don’t get to win delegates by not having any delegates show up.

"Is Cruz stupid?"

It's not the lemonade stand comment that exposes his stupidity. That's regular 'ol politics.

It's his assertion that Trump has "lost" 5 elecctions.

Everyone in America knows that's not true because there were not 5 elections that awarded him all those delegates.

Excepting Wisconsin, where 1.1 million of the 1.3 million voters he cites actually voted, the other 4 states were precinct, up to state level delegate "elections" where the party regulars and insiders set the rules, timing, venues etc.

They are DESIGNED to exclude the broader Republican electorate.

And now everyone in America knows it, and they associate such exclusionary methods with Cruz.

He'll NEVER be able to wash that stench off of him.

Never.

Whereas if he had just said: "Hey, those are the rules that were set up. I don't agree with these state parties who excluded their voters. I will work with everyone who is concerned about this, including Donald Trump, after the convention in July to change it to a broadly inclusive, binding, election process. But I am in this race to win, so I participated with a superior organization and won these delegates. "

Instead, he bragged on these "landslides" and conflated the 1.1 mil actual voters in Wisconsin with an inside, exclusionary party process in the other 4...and defended their method.

That's what makes him stupid.

Don't tell what everyone in the country believes to be a lie when your nickname is already Lyin' Ted.

That's stupid right there, I don't care who you are.

If you go to Real Clear Politics, there’s an audio of this. Hannity lost his temper at Cruz over this kind of stuff.

Yup, Trump’s campaign sucks. That’s why all the predictions of his demise have come true and he is so far behind Cruz.

/oh, wait...

Cruz just said on Hannity that he won 5 consecutive elections with millions of people voting. (Perhaps he means voting for the delegates who chose him? God knows what he means - he’s delusional!)

It is the Donald who is self serving.

Really? Just curious, how many years has Cruz worked in the private sector following his final graduation from Harvard in 1995?

As far as I could find, it was all taxpayer funded jobs.........

Cruz did a 2 year stint in private practice in the 90s and also 2009 thru 2012.

Well, he’s given many millions of dollar to St. Judes Children Research Hospitals through his son.

Note: He does not talk about it. In fact, he HIDES it. The information is hard to track down. But if you try and know how to data mine, you can find it.

So this may not qualify as doing something “for this country,” but it matters to me.

PS It’s more than I have managed to do despite trying (I give a paltry $50/mo. to St. Judes). Maybe you have done better. But what Trump has done is still significant in my book.

Wow! Well, we can’t call YOU stupid. You should either be running his campaign or his spokesman. You, sir, are brilliant!

That’s a lie. And you are a liar.

That photo was taken long before the event began. Of course there aren’t a lot of people.

Sundance lies. You lie.

This is a later tweet. Yes, only about 100 so far — not many, but more than 22. But it’s an intimate venue.

Well, maybe if the warrior at least knew how to make lemonade....

The Cruz campaign called me to go to the Caucus here. Clearly the Trump campaign did not call their people: virtually none showed up.

That’s not insiders; that’s not “the party”. We actually iced-out an insider so that he couldn’t represent our District to State. We voted a pure Cruz slate, excluding Trump and excluding party big-wigs who happen to live near us.

Trump’s team could have done the same. Had they worked.

I actually think the guy is delusional. He is tone deaf to the fact that his loser level antics with the delegates are not sitting well with the voters. Hence his sinking poll numbers. Hannity tried to clue him in on his show this afternoon and Ted was just disengaged.

You try to deflect your lies by calling other liar. Nice.

You lie. I’m eager to see you zotted when Cruz wins and you pledge not to vote for the Republican candidate.
