I think God prohibits promiscuity (whether gay or straight), anal sex (whether with a man or a woman), contraception, and other unnatural sexual behavior because it is bad for us. He loves us and wants by His Law to prevent a lot of unnecessary suffering and sorrow.

Does that make sense?

Yes, I too have seen evidence that the STD rate is much lower for lesbians than for gay men. Disease rates are much more closely linked to number of partners, not to orientation, and lesbians are less likely than gay men to be stupidly promiscuous.

Lesbian rates of mental/emotional illness and domestic violence, however, are way up there. The dynamics in these relationships are somewhat unbalanced.

How does their rate compare to normal women?

I'm not finding any figures right off the bat from Google, and don't have time to look further into it just now. It seems lesbian "twosomes" break up faster than man-woman marriages, because they get a lot more intensely enmeshed with each other emotionally and socially, and then one gets to feel trapped and suffocated, or disappointed that she doesn't have privacy and a life of her own.

Or so I'm told.

Meanwhile, because a lot of gay men really don't expect fidelity or emotional intimacy ("love") their "marriage" can last longer because both of them are still promiscuous and it's accepted. So infidelity will break up a woman-woman couple, but not a man-man couple.

Or so I'm told.

I must say, be careful of generalizations. Normal heterosexuality seems to be in a rather sad state, lots of dissatisfaction out there, which is probably a contributing factor in the rise of deviant alternatives.
