Game On: Tennessee to Sue Feds Over Unconstitutional Refugee Resettlement
Breitbart ^ | 19 Apr 2016 | Michael Patrick Leahy

On Tuesday, the Tennessee General Assembly declared it will sue the federal government over its refugee resettlement program on Tenth Amendment grounds. The State Senate passed a resolution authorizing that lawsuit in a 29 to 4 vote one day after it passed the Tennessee House by a 69 to 25 margin.

“Today we struck a blow for Liberty by finally adopting SJR467,” State Senator Mark Norris (R-Collierville), the co-sponsor of the resolution who shepherded it through the State Senate, tells Breitbart News.

A long time coming.

Let’s get these other states to man up and follow the leader.

Personally, I’d throw in a Third Amendment aspect/claim into the mix, too.

The “refugees” this government are accepting can be shown to be “shadow soldiers” IMO, and thus soldiers of a fashion.

Further, distributing these shadow soldiers in our home states, in our midst, using our resources and ‘treasure’ against our will and permission, they are being unconstitutionally quartered by the government - the Third Amendment.

Problem is, the courts are traitorous. If every time an issue comes up the judges rules against us, how does our "civilization" ever recover?

We can only hope that President Trump can turn the country around, and folks wake up to how the courts our destroying the US in so many ways.

If this suit is successful, could it be taken one step further. Could counties or municipalities sue their states who agree to accept these “refugees” and place them in their jurisdictions against the local will?

The Supreme Court is litigating a case currently brought by I believe 27 states challenging Obozo’s executive amnesty program. I believe Tenn. is part of that case as well.

These actions take months if not years in some cases and are good, but the states need to push back even further. Stop sending money to the federal government and stop receiving money from the federal government.

Pass state legislation that would arrest any federal law enforcement officer attempting to enforce unconstitutional executive actions. States should put illegals on buses, ship them to the border and force them to walk across the bridge into Messy-co. If federal officers get in the way, arrest them.

>>“...but the states need to push back even further...”<<

No kidding, down here in Southeast Texas, one of our county sheriffs published a letter to the citizens of the county during the big Obozo gun scare where folks believed the federal government was going after ammunition, then perhaps firearms.

He stated in his published letter, “There will be no gun confiscation efforts while I'm sheriff of this county”.

Made me proud. Shook the man's hand in church one day.

Enough already. The ferrule government has presided over the largest transfer of wealth in world history from the U.S. to China. The monumental fiscal mismanagement of this country is a NATIONAL SECURITY threat and criminal. Those who are driving this nation into insolvency should be tried and jailed for violating the confidence of the people, violating their oath to protect the constitution and colluding with multinational corporations to strip America of it's status in the world.

Damn I'm pissed off about all this. Why can't someone up in government do the right thing for America.

Trump won’t care when he is president. He’ll say it’s “settled” and nothing he can do.

Great news! I’m pleased to report that after House passage yesterday, the Tennessee Senate took a procedural vote this afternoon giving final passage to my resolution calling for our state to sue the federal government concerning the resettlement of Syrian refugees in Tennessee.

I can’t thank you enough for your support in this effort over the past couple of months! There’s no doubt that your passion on this issue was a key factor in this resolution’s passage by the legislature.

We’re not done yet, however. The resolution has been passed by both the Tennessee House and Senate - but now it’s up to Tennessee Attorney General Herbert Slatery III to act on it.

Call the Attorney General’s office at (615) 741-3491 and tell him you want him to take the federal government to court to stop this assault on our security and our liberties! Please continue to encourage your family and friends to add their names to the the petition! http://marknorris.us12.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=7ab25691ba27c9f5fd7bef63e&id=5a2172cbd3&e=9e1c9b7679 The legislature heard your voice and it made a difference - now Attorney General Slatery needs to hear from you as well!

THANK YOU once again for your continued support in this critical cause.

In liberty,

Senator Mark Norris

re: Trump won't care when he's President.

What THE HECK are you talking about? Trump's whole campaign is based on stopping and reversing the invasion of the US.

“Trump won’t care when he is president. He’ll say it’s “settled” and nothing he can do.”

And you know this how?

You doubt Mr. Trump’s commitment to return us to the land of the free; the home of the brave? I suggest you take off those Rove-colored glasses and do your own objective research.

Yes, I do doubt Trump’s commitment, but I hope I’m wrong. I don’t hear him saying anything about shrinking government, lower taxes or getting the left’s jackboots off my neck.

Ha, “Rove colored glasses,”yes, very witty. High-minded discourse on the old forum.
