(CNSNews.com) - Republican Donald Trump, appearing on Thursday's "Today" show, said transgenders should be allowed to "use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate."
"So if Caitlyn Jenner were to walk into Trump Tower and want to use the bathroom, you would be fine with her using any bathroom she chooses?" host Matt Lauer asked Trump.
"That is correct," Trump said.
Asked for his view on the North Carolina bathroom controversy, Trump said the state has "paid a big price" for requiring transgenders to use the restroom that corresponds with their biological sex.
"Leave it the way it is," he said.
"One of the best answers I heard was from a commentator yesterday, saying 'Leave it the way it is right now.' There have been very few problems. Leave it the way it is. North Carolina, what they're going through with all of the business that's leaving and all of the strife, and that's on both sides -- you leave it the way it is.
"There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go, they use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate. There has been so little trouble. And the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife, and the -- the economic punishment that they're taking."

Trump said he doesn't know if he has any transgender people working for him. "I probably do, I really don't know."
Trump noted that there's a "big move to create new bathrooms" for transgenders.
"First of all, I think that would be discriminatory in a certain way. It would be unbelievably expensive for businesses and for the country. Leave it the way it is."

This position reflects his 66 years of living in NYC as a Liberal Democrat, who he is instinctively...

A male predator with no gender identity issues can now walk into the women’s restroom with my 15 & 16 year old daughters. That is a Yuuuge problem to me.

But Trump is NOT conservative. He is not pro-family, pro-traditional marriage, or pro-life (he is not consistent on it at least) and that should make ANY supporter of his question the legitimacy of everything he says.

I never claimed it was. My purity comment was based on some other ridiculous response that I got.
Problem is put court calls that a natural condition and not mental.
Problem is that courts are ruling this way and until you get bad results with predators there isn’t the record to resist it YET!
Same thing with gay adoption, after over ten years what has been the honest record?
Are kids doing as well, better or worse?
Are kids identifying as gay more out of confusion due to their adopted parents compared to traditional adoptions?
Where are the studied results?
These days Trump is having traps laid out for him regarding race, gender and gays. They are trying to reduce his voters and cross overs.

Not all of us have gone full trump But I do have to say every time I feel like I can maybe hold my nose and vote for the guy he reminds me why that would be a bad idea
So many years since the Giuliani debacle, and New York values resurface in the sewers of the minds and mouths of the political regulator class. It’s no wonder. Those “values” came from eastern parts of Europe only recently.
May we see the rebuilding of our country soon and receive encouragements from the beautiful natural changes, defaults and foreclosures that precede it.
