(CNSNews.com) - Republican Donald Trump, appearing on Thursday's "Today" show, said transgenders should be allowed to "use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate."
"So if Caitlyn Jenner were to walk into Trump Tower and want to use the bathroom, you would be fine with her using any bathroom she chooses?" host Matt Lauer asked Trump.
"That is correct," Trump said.
Asked for his view on the North Carolina bathroom controversy, Trump said the state has "paid a big price" for requiring transgenders to use the restroom that corresponds with their biological sex.
"Leave it the way it is," he said.
"One of the best answers I heard was from a commentator yesterday, saying 'Leave it the way it is right now.' There have been very few problems. Leave it the way it is. North Carolina, what they're going through with all of the business that's leaving and all of the strife, and that's on both sides -- you leave it the way it is.
"There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go, they use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate. There has been so little trouble. And the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife, and the -- the economic punishment that they're taking."

Trump said he doesn't know if he has any transgender people working for him. "I probably do, I really don't know."
Trump noted that there's a "big move to create new bathrooms" for transgenders.
"First of all, I think that would be discriminatory in a certain way. It would be unbelievably expensive for businesses and for the country. Leave it the way it is."
Sadly, some FReepers are some of the harshest people to their fellow humans — no better than libs -— if the fellow human is different from them. It’s human nature, I suppose, but my religion helps me step out of my comfort zone to be compassionate sometimes. I can’t take any credit personally. It’s all Gd.

Thanks. I feel that more people need to be familiar with the concept of Gleichschaltung. It is what we are currently facing, and people need to understand that fact.
I was citing the law as it exists in some places on this issue.
I’m willing to consider pretty much what anyone says (within reason, of course), but I’ll not violate my fundamental beliefs about God.

You call it retreat - I could care less about the issue. You have a greater chance of being killed by an illegal alien than seeing a trans person in a public restroom. You have a greater chance your job is outsourced than seeing a trans person in a bathroom. I live in NYC - in Manhattan no less - and I have never seen one in a public bathroom.
There is nothing to retract. its commonsense. They way to fix this issue is with the courts and education not executive fiat tyrant supporter. It removes this weapon during the general. He never said he supported it.
Say he doesn’t walk it back, at least to our satisfaction. He still gets the nomination. Still voting for him? I can’t see why not, at least this stiff might comb his hair differently and change his mind or accidentally act rationally, I suppose.

Well here is the thing and it is a very fine line.
Trump may be a pragmatic choice to avoid Hillary.
But not trashing guys like Carson, Walker and cruz will at least allow for voices to remain for natural law.
Let face it, traditional conservatives have much more experience APPLYING natural law and understanding its consequences than populists.
Not a criticism, just a matter of understanding the phenomenon.
My only ask is that we do not completely destroy our bench for the future.
Look how ineffective guys like Jindall and Santorum became.
Even if we end up with the populist on top, we should still allow for voices to advocate for God and His Natural Law.

The GOP position has always made an exception for the LIFE of the mother. What's controversial is the Democrat position on the HEALTH of the mother. That, of course, includes mental health, which includes anything.
I agree with this strategy. It keeps NY and CA in play and does not get the very powerful gay mafia using their media etc to destroy him. He already told you his position on this issue with his selection of conservative Judges, Supporting religious liberty and making education local.
We will NOT let the Establishment destroy our country over less then .03 percent who so far have not been an issue.
We have been asked to not advocate for any candidate other than Trump.

xzins, I won’t belabor the issue, but I would like to say that you will see more of this with Trump, NOT less. The reason is because he is a political novice and you do not know him as you may think. This is not disrespect; it is factually correct. With Cruz, you have someone that you DO know is a true lover and respector of God and the Constitution. You know what you’re getting. You know he’s not ashamed to say put God first.
