I don’t want to knock the poor Senator, but it seems the Trump Train is high-balling into California and “caught the last plane for the coast.”

(It’s a 70s, thing.)

Cruz...

Cruz...

Rhymes with: “Yesterday’s news” and “Snooze”, and “Lose”

With over 5 million registered republicans in CA, surely the campaign will find enough delegates for Donald Trump in California.

The issue is not finding the total number of delegates - the problem is finding them in all of the districts, and able to afford the costs...

And no glasses strong enough for you to see how badly you’ve been suckered by yours already.

TPA/TPP
Corker
“Washington Cartel” (accepting applications for Bush family hacks).

The list goes on and on.

You must like that snake oil.

Here’s my take on his abortion stance - it is amazing how Trump forces us to look at issues.

There are about one million legal abortion per years in the US.

An average of estimates of pregnancies due to rape in the US is 25,000. Those women have the choice to raise , adopt, or abort. Say one-third abort, that’s around 8000 abortions per year. And say the total estimate, generously, from incest and life threatening to mother is the same. That’s 16,000 per year.

Trump has said he would move to overturn Roe v. Wade. Then we are looking at legal abortions dropping from one million to 16,000. That is HUGE.

After Roe v Wade was overturned, then the allowance for the others could be worked on until they were banned.

Is Trump courting some fence leaning Dims and independents on this issue? Darn right he is.

This is practical conservatism.

Yet both Cruz and Kashich have said that Trump loses to Hillary by double digits. Horse hockey! This will be another Reagan-esque LANDSLIDE, just like the 1980 blowout.

"Californians agree with Trump in favor of abortions, men in women’s bathrooms and higher taxes, so it makes sense."

Wrong. At least, in terms of Ca Republicans.

The overwhelmingly primary reason Trump is favorable in Ca is due to 1 reason.

Illegal Immigration as a result of the open southern border and unenforced federal immigration law.

The legions of foreigners in the state who are in Ca illegally. Not to mention, who are now able to obtain a CA drivers license (which of course, is good anywhere in the country...or the world for that matter) among the many other associated travesties.

For many/most California Republicans, that's issue #1.

I was too, but I’m not going to dwell on it. We all support candidates with whom we do not agree on every issue.

“I miss my Irvine!”

Still a nice city and the two of the three liberals on the city council have been booted out: Larry Agran and Suki Kang. Replaced by conservatives.

I was never particularly impressed with Cruz from the outset. None of that is particularly relevant, anyway, since he’s not in a position to be the one to change policy.

Loss of manufacturing jobs have killed the GOP in CA. That’s high on the list too.

GM Plants in South Gate and Van Nuys: gone
Rockwell in Downey: gone
Todd Shipyards in San Pedro: gone
Steel mills in Fontana: gone
Apple in Garden Grove: gone
Boeing Aircraft in Long Beach- almost gone

Wht?

Larry Agran got booted? WHOA!!!! He has been around forever.

I was worried about Irvine (lots of *diverse* students at UCI). Sounds like it’s staying nice and conservative. Whew. I may have to visit soon.

I’m from back in the day with UCMS air station Tustin was open and there was a Sizzler at Culver and Walnut.

The California Primary is closed for the Presidential Race only. All the other contests are Top 2, so anyone can vote for all the Congressional, State and Local races and propositions. So, if you are not registered as a Republican, you cannot vote for Trump, Cruz or Kasich.
