(AP) — Donald Trump's chief lieutenants told skeptical Republican leaders Thursday that the GOP front-runner has been "projecting an image" so far in the 2016 primary season and "the part that he's been playing is now evolving" in a way that will improve his standing among general election voters. The message, delivered behind closed doors in a private briefing, is part of the campaign's intensifying effort to convince party leaders Trump will moderate his tone in the coming months to help deliver big electoral gains this fall, despite his contentious ways.

Yes. It's interesting to note that his stated position today on cross-gender bathrooms was based on the costs to his businesses to modify bathrooms. I think that's his only true principle: Make money for Trump.

I was listening to FBN when this ‘breaking news’ broke...Charles Payne said that the Trump campaign said it would (paraphrasing) be basically moving into the next phase of the campaign.
What folks (bots) are failing to mention...Trump is NOT an experienced politician. That’s what MILLIONS of Americans love about him. No smokey back room trickery....WYSIWYG.
He’s fought off his competitors quite amazingly, one by one.

Trump cannot, that is why he is pivoting left at this juncture (premature since he is not the nominee) in the hopes of closing the distance between her and him. Trump is entering the next phase of his campaign....where he doesn’t have to fight off the losers/those mathematically eliminated, any longer. He can focus on Hellary and winning the election.
