I’m an old guy. We never let our young granddaughter go into a large, public bathroom unescorted by another female.

Some times when she was very young, I did take her into the Men’s room.

Problem is in places like Target, Costco, etc.

What is needed is the old concept of “Restroom attendants” of the same sex.

I’ve never heard of restroom attendants before. But now that you bring it up, that probably would be a good idea.

Or simply single-person unisex bathrooms. Most public restrooms I’ve been in save very little space compared to the same number of individual 4’x7’ individual bathrooms would.
