The stupid Libertarian support of open borders doesn’t mix well with isolationism. Yes, I know, Trump says he will build a wall and keeps the Muslims out, but at the same time, his new campaign advisor says he is moderating to more closely align himself with the a Establishment. That means abandoning the Conservatives.

A couple of weeks ago Levin said, in essence, because Trump is "mean" and that he has hired "mean people" for his campaign, that Levin would never vote for him. I heard him say it on his radio program.

china has stolen all our factories as China now makes a lot of things that were manufactured in the USA. Trump said that will stop with him as president (says it in the video linked below).

Cruz will never build the wall nor bring back jobs and factories from China . Only Trump will do both of those
things. Why would you not want that ? what will cruz do ? nothing just the same as W bush etc. not a damn thing just let in more immigrants into the USA and more factories exported to China , Mexico and many other countries(this is the reason for America’s decline so why do you want to continue it)?

Noonan semi-lost her mind when Obama was elected the first time around, but came to her senses a couple of years later. You are correct that she has been admirably tough on the GOP establishment over the last couple of years.

I am supporting Cruz, but will back Trump if he gets the nomination. However, the coarseness in our culture that Noonan noted is real, and it does disturb me. Are there no other freepers who were disturbed by the vulgar references to male genitalia earlier in the election cycle?!

I don’t know that song, but I’ll have to look it up. I think there are several with similar sentiments. Of course, the original American novel, Pilgrim’s Progress, was based on just such a theme.

Kinda late to be responding but I appreciated your comment from a reader about the Peggy Noonan use of probably mythical buddies or acquaintances whom she quotes in her articles. I had wondered about her hanging out with such people as she mentioned since they all seem to be as adrift as Peggy herself is. She should get some upbeat, pro Trump new people in her life and gain renewed hope in a brighter future for America.
