At least New Yorkers HAVE “values”; Teddy has NONE AT ALL and neither has he any principles.

I sure am glad to know I am not the only one to notice that. The last few weeks Cruz can't finish his first sentence without bringing up Donald. SOMETIMES he may make it to the second sentence (after the first sentence is his whopper "We won Six elections in a row by landslides", which EVERYONE knows who is watching knows that's total bs and it gains him nothing except more people who think he's lost it.)

Someone needs to tell him, get back to issues. Talk your issues and plans. But he has totally moved from that to "Donald Whines" and variations of that every time he opens his mouth. Even a child who keeps hearing one child accusing another of whining over and over knows it's actually that accusing child who's the whining one.

They have paid out roughly 3 million of the six million pledged last I read. They are still getting the pledged money in and are paying it out as soon as it is received.

I noted the same thing on another thread.

Today he was back to the debate taunts and poking at Trump supporters

That’s right, and according to the new poll, Trump is leading in all geographic areas of the state. His weakest area is central valley, but he is still ahead.

Yep, that’s exactly why [Trump] is getting 38% of votes.

Whatever Trump is getting sure looks to be a Hell of a lot more than Ted Cruz.

Ted Cruz has lost. He has now been mathematically eliminated from securing a delegate majority before the convention, and he will limp into the convention itself with 700 delegates or so, at best. His fantasy of garnering the nomination, if successful, would irreparably splinter the party, and guarantee a GOP defeat in November.

As Newt Gingrich so aptly noted, that's simply not going to happen. Not even the crooked GOPe is that stupid.

Vote Trump

It’s not just Manafort
Cruz’s maneuvers awakened and energized trump and he has been busy hiring help that know “ the rules” to play Ted’s game
The ultimate Trump card so to speak may be in contesting delegates selected under successfully challenged procedures

There have been several national polls asking the question of whether the nomination should go to the candidate who has a plurality of delegates going into the convention and it has received overwhelming support each time.

A Monmouth poll done on March 23 found that 54% supported the idea. By April 12 an AP poll found that support had risen to 58% and an NBC/WSJ poll on April 14 found that 62% supported it. Again, these were all national polls.

The electorate’s distaste for a contested convention is also evidenced by current polls in state after state where Cruz’s support is cratering, as is his support in every national poll. In fact, according to RCP, Cruz has not led in any poll, state or national, since April 4, his last winning poll before Wisconsin.

Ted is still name calling republican voters who support his opponent?

Oh man, has a party candidate ever gone after 62% of his own party base for being stupid? Does he think that earns him their vote if he takes the nomination??

Teds under orders from the gope. That’s why his campaign became about Trump instead of the issues.

I think the whole delegate/convention system is archaic. 100 years ago when it took days or even weeks to travel and information was dispersed at a glacial pace compared to today, a convention of delegates made sense. It's not hard to see how it evolved into the crony, insider system we have today.

Given that information can be disseminated nearly instantaneously today a simple run-off election process would make much more sense. The entire nomination process would take a few weeks at most, depending on how many candidates were in the race. The first one to 50% + 1 gets the nomination.

“Ted is still name calling republican voters who support his opponent?”

Yes, yesterday we were “gullible.” By my count that’s the 5th time he’s insulted us-”low information,” “not engaged,” “Trumpsters,” “should put a Hillary sticker on their car,” and now “gullible.”

Yeah, he’s working hard for our votes in November.

Trump should get the magic number of 1,237 and win the nomination on the first ballot.

Grassroots swell coming Trump's way with everything he wins from here on out - folks really want a winner to vote for.

You were darn close, Rita....it’s 62%, NATIONALLY - a clear majority - of Republicans, who want the candidate with MOST VOTES to be the nominee.

We see that “NY values” translate into national values, on this, don’t we?

To try and smear the preference of We the People to a cReepy cRuz smear, is not only childish, but despicable, as well.

Donald Trump Jr. has said that his father would much rather talk to brick masons, electricians, cab drivers and welders than high society folks. He calls him a “blue collar billionaire.” He also said when he and brother were teenagers he had them working with the construction crews almost every weekend or when school was out. In one of Trump’s books he talks about going out on work sites with his father, crawling under buildings when he was 12 years to measure the foundation. That’s why he gets along with anyone and almost no one has a bad thing to say about him. Never believe these polls that say Trump is disliked by this group and that group.

So what if “persons polled” want to drop the majority threshold?
It matters ZERO as the delegate majority (now 1237) has been the rules for 200 years, RNC plainly and loudly said it would not be changed.

What trumpbots can’t seem to grasp is that the GOP is not some government organization that they have some say over. It is a PRIVATE organization that has its established rules no different than any other PRIVATE organization (i.e. the NFL or NASCAR).

Hiss, scream and stamp your foot til the cows come home and its not going to alter the necessity for a candidate to get 1237, even if it takes 50 ballots to get there.

Trump’s fear of a Contested Convention is because he KNOWS he is very unlikely to be able to persuade staunch GOP delegates to vote for his hateful low info BS beyond the first ballot.

Simple! Don’t like the rules? Go start your own Party.

Yep, damn what the voters want, you and the GOPe want Cruz.

At this point supporting Cruz only helps Hillary.

A real conservative would not be helping Hillary. Why are you helping Hillary?
