“Prince always seemed gay to me.”

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, swims like a duck......it must be a duck.

Prince may have said his Party Like it's 1999 was in part about Trump?

So tonight we'll Reform Party like it's nineteen ninety-nine

"I think like most musical savants, his personality was a bit off-center, which probably made it difficult to have long-term relationships. If indeed he has literally thousands of songs in his vault, he probably spent most of his time making music. With folks like that, it’s their addiction, they can’t stop doing it."

He had a weird thing where he couldn't or wouldn't sleep, so much so he would get into that dreamlike state, think of a song, then take the elevator down to record it.

It is beyond irony that he died in that elevator.

Guessing this will be what the Brits call 'death-by-misadventure', and what the Carver County Coroner will call 'polypharmacy'.

You know, I always despised the guys' sexual mores...but seeing that clip a number of years ago opened my eyes to his musicianship. Besides, it took *balls* to upstage the whole place like that in a tribute song.

He seemed to me to have the same unfettered arrogance that the Bamster does: but in Prince's case, he could back it up with talent.

May Christ have mercy on his soul.

Sick comments. Death is not funny nor are your nasty remarks. They are far below what one expects on FR

Too bad you missed the point...

"I had absolutely nothing to do" with "spilling the beans". “A lot of people are saying that and a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening out there. We’re going to be looking at that and a lot of different things.” I'd "hate to see something like that get in his way...a lot of people are talking about it."

What goes around, comes around. Get used to it.

“In 2008, the New Yorker writer Claire Hoffman asked Prince what he thought of social issues like gay marriage and abortion. Reported Hoffman of his response: “Prince tapped his Bible and said, ‘God came to earth and saw people sticking it wherever and doing it with whatever, and he just cleared it all out. He was, like, ‘Enough.’””

“Read an article today on the big hits he wrote for other artists.”

I didn’t realize he also wrote “Nothing Compares 2U” which was a huge hit for Sinead O’Connor

It was originally recorded for a 1985 album by The Family - a little known ensemble that was basically an outlet for Prince to get more of his music out.

Sad and sick. You reminded me of Vince Foster’s “walk in the park...” (sound familiar?)

Like I said, “What goes around, comes around.”

The standard you use to judge is that standard that will judge you.

He was anything but.

More of a heterosexual obsessive.

I think he actually adopted a lot of the persona of Little Richard. Likes the show and all outrageous.
