As he gets closer to the GOP nomination Donald Trump is beginning to look like a political chameleon, adapting his campaign to more aptly fit the mold of a party nominee.
It's a big step for Trump and appears to be a departure from his usual campaign practices as it is in fact a move that candidates often make.
Describing how it is typical of candidates, especially those who secure the nomination, to "pivot towards," the general electorate, Daniel P. Franklin, Associate Professor of Political Science at Georgia State explained the candidates go from appealing to the center of the party to the center of the general electorate.
Trump, Franklin said, is transitioning from a running a populist campaign to a standard campaign.

The Evolution of Donald Trump? I suppose this is using “evolution” in the old nautical sense of the word. You know, we’ve all seen it in movies: a storm tossed ship staggering in heavy seas, loose cargo careening about the hold and loose cannonballs crashing about the deck, and the wise old salt turns to the frightened ship’s boy and says, “Don’t you fret none, she’s “evolving” pretty good. All to be expected.”
No Trump has always been consistent on China and illegals (build the wall). Trump said China is stealing from the USA and that he will stop it. He's always said that. and He's been saying that against Japan too for 25 years.
china has stolen all our factories as China now makes a lot of things that were manufactured in the USA. Trump said that will stop with him as president (says it in the video linked below).
Cruz will never build the wall nor bring back jobs and factories from China . Only Trump will do both of those
things. Why would you not want that ? what will cruz do ? nothing just the same as W bush etc. not a damn thing just let in more immigrants into the USA and more factories exported to China , Mexico and many other countries(this is the reason for America's decline so why do you want to continue it)?

Speaking of that last stage, I, too, have wondered about any Divine Influences positioning Trump to fulfill some purpose for which The Donald was chosen and life prepared to accomplish.
I usually have those sorts of candidate questions every election, but now, with these interesting times combined with the Cruz Family Gospel Show and Revival stumping the church circuit, for me those questions are irresistible.
While Team Cruz self-identified his as a Christian mission from God and specifically went after that segment of voter, Trump made no such claims about himself or his candidacy.
However, the way things have been working out, I keep wondering about it anyway, either in a "good" prophetic way or "bad".
Most notable to me, as you also pointed out, are the worldly forces aligning against Trump and throwing everything they have at him, and yet it all works against them and instead prospers him. Fascinating.
Second most notable is that the wise are confounded by him. They dump loads of calumny on him, while at the same time questioning him and his conservative credentials like a bunch of self-righteous Pharisees would do. Again, fascinating.
Personally, I honestly don't know what to make of it, but it catches and holds my attention. So, I'm holding pat with my opinion and working on my patience while watching and looking for clues and answers.
All I know is: Trump is not like the rest of them.
The rest appear to be of the Beast or in service to the Beast. No real surprises there. Situation normal in all respects.
But, otoh, after reviewing Trump's life and resume, along with his recent performances in the primaries thus far, to me, I don't think Trump is of the Beast.
Instead, Trump seems more like a Beast Whisperer/Beast tamer.
Hmmmm...."Beast Tamer"...I like it. Now that I would vote for.

That pretty much sums up what I have been observing and reading from the trail signs. Just take the Bible as literally true, except when it says, “This is a symbol of that.” It it says there is a Great Sign in the Heavens, then LOOK UP for a Great Sign in the Heavens.

If Trump wins it all, I hope you are right. I may be a little more skeptical, but Trump may honor his commitments.
Way back last June Trump said he was doing this (running for President) for his family.
I find that very easy to believe, after all, his family has had to live under the same cloud all of us have had to live under.
He’s not going to let his family down, he truly is going to make America great again. All of America has to be great, and strong, not just some tiny segment.
It’s those tiny segments all the other politicians have been carving out for decades. Unfortunately, we have been taking the brunt of all that selfishness because they are building islands.
By way of contrast, I think we are but the very fortunate side beneficiaries of his goals.
Trump is in this to rebuild an entire country.
