The new climate spin: trying to reach conservatives by making fighting climate change ‘patriotic’

Conservatives’ attitudes toward climate change and other environmental concerns shift when the issues are reframed in terms more closely aligned with their values, a new study from Oregon State University indicates.

Researchers found that people who identified as conservative were more likely to support “pro-environmental” ideals when the issues were framed as matters of obeying authority, defending the purity of nature and demonstrating patriotism.

The study underscores the ways in which discussions of important topics are informed by a person’s moral and ideological perspective, said the study’s lead author, Christopher Wolsko, an assistant professor of psychology at OSU-Cascades.

“We think we’re just discussing issues, but we’re discussing those issues through particular cultural values that we normally take for granted,” Wolsko said. “If you re-frame issues to be more inclusive of those diverse values, people’s attitudes change.”

Hmmmmm. Psychologist says to NOT support fighting climate discombobulation means, you gotta be crazy. Same one that says if you DO support the 2nd amendment means you, gotta be crazy. But then again it was just the assistant tryin’ to sound like they know what they’re talkin’ about. FAIL.

Cruz and the establishment are trying to convince people that "conservatism" means unlimited immigration, open borders, North American Union, TPA, TPP, 500,000 additional H1B visas, neoliberalism, neocons, offshoring of jobs and if you object you're not conservative, resettlement of millions of Syrians, Somalis, Sudanese and other muslims into the American heartland., etc. (And who has been working behind the scenes on this in the Senate using parliamentary acrobatics? Canadian Rafael Cruz.

And they are trying to define PATRIOTS as "populists" in a pejorative sense of the word with its bad connotations.

Cruz and the Washington and world elite are trying to make GLOBALISM into CONSERVATISM, and successfully duping the useful idiot Cruzers on FR, AND using FR itself as a platform to espouse this. They know: if you control words and their meaning, you are in control.

From this one sentence, you know that their research is false...they don’t even understand conservatism.

There is no science in any of their rhetoric or actions. This is fraud and hoax, fooling only a credible cadre of leftist anti American, anti capitalists. They know not of what they do or speak.

So being stupid (scientifically) is now considered “patriotic”.

In truth, it’s merely “pathetic”.
