I look at it like this, if the Dems are going to elect one of their own, let it be the nuttiest and most polarizing of the bunch. They’re worth more to our side than a quiet, low-key 90% leftist. Given, too, that the Dems are way overextended in their seats in MD, the more divisive a candidate, the better the chance the GOP has (after all, prior to Van Hollen, that was a GOP district).
