Actually, that was my guess. Could be something else but the symptoms suggest it. I think stress plays a big role. I do wish them well, as well. But clearly there’s something going on with Rush that’s beyond politics.
I do not want Kasich. He’s like my last choice.

Agree. Even today, Rush was saying Cruz is the only true conservative. I don’t see it. North American Union, TPA that led to TPP, co-authored WSJ article with Paul Ryan, Corker bill support, Saying Trump was responsible for the anti-Trump violence, etc.
Also Rush defended the delegate steal and Trumpsters are too stupid to understand the delegate rules. I applied as a delegate and do understand the rules and it’s crooked.
I know. It’s a good question that many of here are asking. Lots of theories have been proposed and discussed. At the moment I favor that he’s always had a tendency to define conservatism according to the Chamber of Commerce wing of things. But he is a complex individual and there could be many factors to this equation.
I just wish him well, and hope he gets it together and grows.

Sorry you went off Rush. I completely understand. Interesting though, that they got an actor to read his book. Generally, in non-fiction, they use the author! Guess they knew a trapped audience wouldn’t listen to that voice!

Wasn’t it just last week that many Trump supporters were complaining about the delegate count in Wisconsin and stating “If Cruz steals this primary then I’m not voting/writing in Trump/voting Trump 3rd party.
And wasn’t it just a couple of weeks ago that Trump supporters were saying “If there’s an open convention and they don’t nominate Trump...” same thing.
Or maybe I’m just mis-remembering.
What ever happened to the story about Cruz cheating with 5 different mistresses? Trump supporters were all giddy about that one. Have we forgotten that too?
what I got from the speech, which was about foreign policy, is he will surround himself with qualified advisors, but will not have people surrounding him who have presided over the recent decades of failed foreign policy.
Fresh new ideas in rethinking our approach to match the over arching policy of America and Americans first.

This Trump supporter has not forgotten those things. I have also stated before it was clear that Trump was the presumptive, that I would crawl over broken glass to vote non-Hillary. I’m just glad that it appears my guy will win out. It would have been hard, but I WOULD have supported Cruz or Kasick or any of them, just as I held my nose and supported Dole, McCain, and Romney.
I’m thrilled that we have someone in the fight who IS a fighter and has the skills TO fight and not fold up like a paper suitcase in the rain.
I love my FRiends here on Free Republic who have made other choices in their God given right to deliberate who they wish to support. I’m hoping that ALL of us can begin setting aside the invective and begin to heal and focus on the real enemy.
But everyone DOES have the God-give right to stay home. We are ALL accountable to Higher Authority for our choices, and we all, who are believers in higher Law, do the best we can to have integrity before the One whom we adore.
