Two weeks ago the “Stand Against Racism” program presented a panel of black activists at the Honors College to talk about their experiences with prejudice. During the Q & A period an audience member asked the panelists what they wanted from whites who wanted to be allies to people of color. They didn’t have to think for more than a moment before the answers came pouring forth. This is what I managed to jot down (paraphrased):
Come to our events.
Share our social media postings and flyers.
Link your organizations with ours.
Don’t come to us looking for recognition for being good (given your pre-existing white privilege).
Fight white supremacy.
Listen. You don’t have to inject your own ideas all the time.
Don’t think your view can represent our reality.
Don’t think you can make pronouncements on black suffering.
Don’t expect blacks to educate you about their experiences; that is the ultimate in white privilege. We are too busy dealing with the effects of racism to educate you. Educate yourself. There are many books, articles, magazines, movies and other resources.
Be active, not passive. Interrupt racism as soon as you hear it. Even if it doesn’t offend you, if it offends your black friend, just say something to the other person that makes them uncomfortable and makes them think.
I wanted to pass this information along, since I had wanted to know the answer to the question, “What should I do to be an ally?” and there may be others who had that same question.

It’s funny how the black civil rights activists from the 1950’s made real, historic progress with white help, yet these modern day bozos seem to achieve nothing positive. I’m not sure what they are trying to achieve in any case since the white population doesn’t want rogue cops killing people either.

I think a lot of it has to do with being followed and friended on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
Always with the possibility of making to The Big Time, which is a personal Go Fund Me campaign.
Well, isn't that what blacks have done with the whole white supremacy thing? If I can't think my view represents their reality, why do they think theirs represents mine?
1) Teach your kids the value of an education.
2) Teach your kids to respect others, as well as their property.
3) Don't think everything is about you or your skin color.
4) Just because you are not working does not automatically mean it is my fault.
5) Over 350,000 white men in the Army of the USA died in a war that resulted in freeing your distant ancestors, it would be nice if you remembered that on occasions.
6) If you choose to have a child, marry the father and conversely if you impregnate a woman, marry her.
7) Tom is a man's name, not an epithet and Black is a color, not a way of thinking.

Black racists are lazy buggers demanding free stuff. Period. Africa isn’t a third-world hell hole because white people destroyed it.
Mike and Lionel happened to bump into each other one day.As usual,Meathead immediately started talking about racism...the "struggle".Lionel listens to him for a bit and then,in a puzzled voice,says to Meathead "hey,Mike...why don't we ever talk about the weather? We black folks have weather too,you know".
Actually, the biggest fear these primitives have is that they will someday be judged by the content of their character.
It has been that way for a while now. The reason they attack white society is that they do not measure up in white society, and they know it.
I don't have a problem with doing this and I find nothing wrong with a black person asking for this. Your actions speak louder than your words.

My understanding is that we are to filter our character/behavior judgments with “allowances” for ethnicity.
Advice to blacks - no one really pays attention to your whining,
Democrats pretend they do for about 5 minutse just before election time.
The rest of us are too tired from working hard to pay our own way, raise our own families and keeping the government off our backs.
We are too P.O.’d about having to take away from our own families to pay for whining blacks and their spawn to give a damn what they want or don’t want.
Stop whining, pull your pants up, speak understandable English.
Learn to do something other than smoke dope, shoot each other, bounce basketbals and whine about whitey.
Get a job, get off the government handouts, track down your own kids and start paying their way.
Then perhaps someday someone will take what you say seriously.
