Never thought of using pennies for TP. You can always use junk mail. Doesn't cost anything, and easier than using pennies. Just watch out for paper cuts (ouch!).

That's the way it always goes at the start of these deals. It helps if you dumb the populace down for a couple of generations and make sure they get no exposure to even the most basic principles of economics.

Last time I was in Venezuela (2007) 20,000 dollar Bolivar notes were common.

I think the solution is easy: simply encourage counterfeiting. The the cost to the government to print currency goes to zero, and allowing unlimited counterfeiting should ease the cash shortage evan as hyperinflation continues to accelerate through the roof. Heck, enterprising counterfeiters could even come up with some new bills, like the 1000, 10,000, and 100,000 Bolivar bills to help alleviate the wheel-barrow issue.
Ah the “joys of Communism”! Too bad Bernie Sanders delusional, “useful idiot” supporters and followers refuse to study history, reality or to even look at the example of Venezuela’s utterly failed socialist, communist “experiment” or to make the very real connection to the fact that THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT BERNIE SANDERS WANTS TO DO TO AMERICA!

Countries like Venezuela would be better of with a nationalistic dictator. The people have proven their incompetence. It would take a solid dictator 20-30 years to undo the destruction already done. The people will not do/face the hard truth and pain they need to experience. Therefore they are toast.
