I don’t hate anyone because of their choice of candidate, and I certainly don’t think anyone should be kicked out for disagreeing with the majority here.

Same here.

Where I run into a problem is with the realization that this is also a propaganda war.

And when Ted Cruz fanboys are reduced to parroting every single piece of GOPe anti-Trump propaganda, then they've simply become a tool of the Enemy, whether witting or not.

Combine that with the same insults which they decry when directed at themselves, and you've got a situation where a small vocal minority are having a disproportionate influence on the situation.

So when the "NeverTrump" zealots start rubbing the site owner's nose in their BS, they deserve to get the zot, IMHO.

If all they can offer is to dutifully carry the water of the GOPe/Cruz/contested convention crowd, then I certainly won't miss their thoughtful voices.

Perhaps the die-hard Cruz supporters who remain should focus on their candidate's positive vision of America's future, rather than simply blindly pushing the "NeverTrump" agitprop, and acting as total dupes of the GOPe.

Almost this entire community was for Ted Cruz at one point, and Ted Cruz has been displaced and defeated by Donald Trump, fair and square.

At the same time, Donald Trump has withstood an onslaught of relentless character assassination, much of it at the hands of hysterical Cruz fanboys. An all out, unfair, diabolical, slanted effort by the Left, Media, Establishment, GOPe, and a Cruz campaign whose tactics are indistinguishable from those corrupt insiders, has failed spectacularly.

I can't imagine any other candidate who could have withstood such an unholy alliance of power-mad haters.

Donald Trump has totally earned my support, and Ted Cruz has completely squandered my support.

Vote Trump

It's gotten to a point where adult supervision is the only way to restore order to the forum. Thank goodness JimRob decided to put an end to the incessant rantings, attacks, and propagandizing, by a small (but vocal) contingent on this forum. That small number made this place a living hell for over eight months, with their never-ending attacks against the Republican front runner.

Over the last 100 days, Freeper DoughtyOne has run a daily caucus thread, where any Freeper could vote for the candidate of their choice. Throughout the exercise, Trump dominated the voting, yet the loudmouth Cruzombies kept pushing the idea that their guy was not only viable, but that he was dominating the primary race, and would soon vanquish Trump, who was beating the pants off him, all along.

I'm sorry, but that's simply destructive to the process, and to the goal of evicting the corrupt ruling class elites from Washington, as it falsely props up a candidate who is quietly accepting the full support of the political elites, and who isn't credible in any way on handling the existential threats we face as a nation.

I understand that a lot of conservatives have supported Ted Cruz throughout this primary, but in truth, the majority have not. Most of us were once in Ted's corner, but over time, our vetting revealed that he isn't nearly what he's cracked up to be. Not even close, in fact. So much so, that a strong majority developed, who were strongly turned off by the man's obvious failures to live up to our simple expectations. He really is not who most of us thought he was, in the beginning of the race.

I'm really sorry for the hurt feelings of so many Cruz supporters, but they just have not opened their eyes to the facts about the man. If they had, they would have already crossed over and joined us in supporting Trump for the nomination.
