The Germans, after inflicting 30 million casualties in WWII, learned the wrong lesson. Not all war is bad. Being prepared isn’t a bad thing. It depend what side you are on.
I think the current German problem is that while many hoped Mrs. Merkel would be a German Maggie Thatcher, she has now turned into a German Hillary Clinton.
