Protest Turns Violent at Donald Trump Rally in Costa Mesa, Calif.
The New York Times ^ | APRIL 29, 2016 | STEVE KENNY

A protest outside a campaign rally for Donald J. Trump in Costa Mesa, Calif., turned violent late Thursday night, as the crowd smashed a police car, the authorities closed nearby streets and officers arrested about 20 people.

The unrest erupted outside an amphitheater where Mr. Trump, the favorite in the race for the Republican presidential nomination, was addressing several thousand supporters, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

There were no major injuries, and the Sheriff’s Department reported on Twitter that the protest was over and that the crowds had dispersed around 11 p.m., after officers on horseback pushed people away from the amphitheater at the OC Fair & Event Center.

Video from Los Angeles-area television stations and photographs from The Los Angeles Times captured the mayhem, including efforts by some of the mostly young protesters to turn over a patrol car.

At least one confrontation with a Trump supporter turned bloody, and other protesters threw rocks and beer bottles while chanting anti-Trump slogans.

Many of the protesters said they had come to express their opposition to Mr. Trump’s proposal to build a wall along the United States-Mexico border and his comments about immigrants from Mexico in general.

“I knew this was going to happen,” Daniel Lujan, 19, told The Los Angeles Times. “It was going to be a riot. He deserves what he gets.”

It was clear Alex Jones was impressed with Matt. Looks like he’s going to be a regular guest from now on. If Jones reads Matt’s books I KNOW Matt will be a regular guest.

Oh the irony ...

“Doing the rioting that Americans won’t do.”

Is there any way we could offshore our riots to Mexico?

“He came looking for trouble...
And he found it. “

I wonder if he knows that children of Mexican immigrants are still considered (by Mexico) Mexican citizens?

if conditions are such in mexico that they swarm here....
why aren’t they rioting in MEXICO..???
because they would have thier asses kicked by the mexican government...
ONCE THE WALL IS BUILT AND OUR LAWS ENFORCED I GIVE IT TWO YEARS FOR A MEXICAN INTERNAL VIOLENT REVOLT....
of course the fastest way is to shut down their economy... like the NWO is doing globally....

Would they be rioting if they had jobs or had to fear being deported? This is the problem with democracy. You can put together a large group and, despite being wrong in many respects, they can change the culture. This is why America was created a Republic, not a Democracy. Sadly our politicians, pushed by social media and a desire to maintain their positions of power, privilege and greed, have abandoned the principles that made America great.

If Mexico took over parts of the US, the only thing that would change would be the location of the border the Mexicans had to cross to get to the US.

I’m STILL awaiting the first news story of this same kind of violence breaking out at either a Clinton or Sanders rally by conservative protesters.

It is a federal offense to protest where secret service is guarding people or premises so if they want it to stop all they have to do is enforce these laws. They need to do that before the convention.

The venue holds 8,000 people. It was near capacity, with thosands turned away at the door when they shut off entry.

Possibly even more impressive, only three protesters were ejected.

ICE needs to do its job. The taxpayers are not paying them the big bucks for them to sit around on their asses. If these freeloading bastards want to protest, ICE needs to send them home to protest. They are not Americans. They need to stay the hell out of OUR business.

Trump should use news footage of these fools smashing police cars and rioting— in a campaign ad. With a voice over saying, these are Hillary’s supporters. Law abiding, employed, taxpaying LEGAL CITIZENS are fed up with paying for these folks to destroy the country.
