The Anti-Trump Super-PAC’s are “all in”, and together with the entire construct of the professional consultant class, they are desperately searching for something, anything, that will allow them to retain some grip on the billion dollar campaign finance market.
The Cruz campaign is throwing everything, including Carly Fiorina’s kitchen sink, at Trump in their last ditch effort to save the strategy of a contested convention. If you have followed the GOPe for any length of time you already know the severity of anger, and the disposition of vitriol, that exists within the Professional Republican Political class.

Again, as I’ve been saying for a few days, between Cruz’s “basketball rings” statement and Bobby Knight’s endorsement of Trump, Trump crushes it in Indiana. And I voted Cruz in the primary, though I admit that would be a more difficult question knowing what I know now, vs. back in March.

Right now they give Trump a 10% lead.

I think Big Mo will push him even more. Pence’s lukewarm thing on Cruz was not helpful anymore than picking Carly Fiorina. All that did was waste any offer he could make at the convention if Trump did not have enough delegates to win on 2nd or third ballot. So Cruz blew his Hole Card for someone who can’t help and has no delegates.
All that did was put Trump in the Driver’s Seat. If needed he can dangle that VP slot to whomever he needs to, if necessary.
Bottom line is that Cruz is not much on strategic thinking here and blew it.
