These were only the "at large delegates" and finally the article gets around to pointing out that this will only matter if Trump won't reach the magic 1237 on the first ballot, but I think he will. This is just more propaganda to encourage Cruz voters to turn out and vote in the still upcoming primaries.

Fox trumpeting on about Cruz...Cruz...Cruz. I just don’t turn them on any more. And I doubt they will ever go after Hitlery in any meaningful way...like they have Trump.

Cruz's victory will only matter if he can block Trump from clinching the nomination before the national convention in July.

Cruz's victory WILL NOT MATTER no matter what. Because if Trump gets the nomination on the first ballot, Cruz will look like just a crafty, spoiled child. And if Trump is denied the nomination, I and many others will NOT vote GOP on election day.

And then again Cruz will look like just a crafty, spoiled child.

I am actually amazed that I once thought Ted Cruz was a good guy. Now, if Cruz somehow gets the nomination, I will vote Libertarian, or Whig, or whatever else is on the ballot.

Once again, it tends to show that the delegate selection process bears little if any relation to the desire of the voters. Trump won this state easily, Cruz finished third, and received 1/2 as many votes as Trump.
So, again we have a seemingly rigged system, where the will of the voters
is subordinated. Smell test failed.

As things stand right now, I don’t think Trump and Cruz can work together.

Even if Trump has the personality to tolerate Cruz, like Reagan picking first Bush, Cruz is the one who burned the bridge so to speak, picking Carly.

NOT GOOD. AT ALL.

What a joke. This rigged crap reminds me of when I coached baseball. We would play in a hostile town. I knew the Umps were crooked— in fact, I knew they were paid off. I told my teams on several occasions— We have to whip this team AND THESE UMPIRES!! We stole bases like bandits and hit like thunder. We would watch those lying umps make their crap calls turn white and then scored more. As Trump says in the boxing world “ Knock the SOB out — these the judges can’t cheat” GO TRUMP!!

Funny how they say he "won" them. 8 to Cruz and 17 to Trump was the original result - and Cruz's campaign folks claim he ain't making no deals with nobody.....

He has become the pitiful and pathetic parody of a "I deserve it dammit" candidate and could soon t=be the reigning poster boy as such.....

The poison pill in this is that if this were to go to a second ballot and Cruz were to get nominated, Hillary becomes the official president. Cruz thinks he can force Trump supporters to vote for him. He can’t. He won’t and he will go down as the one responsible for destroying the country!

Cruz supporter Ken Cuccinelli was on WMAL between 7:45 and 8:00am this morning talking about the convention. He said that Cruz could have had all 13 of the 13 delegates but he, Cuccinelli, opted to push for the compromise slate that gave Trump 3 delegates. He talked about how, even though Trump had won Virginia, the rank and file party and grassroots activists are the ones who showed up in Harrisonburg on Saturday so they won. As an aside, Brian Wilson did point out all this only mattered if Trump failed to win on the first ballot.
